Anticipating Twilight might just be this weekend's big box office winner, I asked you guys to ring in with some possible box office headline puns for the news this morning. Well, briggs313's suggestion in the post was awesome, so I went ahead and used it — thanks briggs313!

Twilight's debut on the big screen was a smash success, earning $70.6 million over the weekend and breaking several records. It has the honor of being the biggest debut ever "for a female director and also beats the $57 million debut of Sex and the City in May." The studio was so impressed with the buzz around the screen adaptation of the popular book that they went ahead and announced plans for the sequel, New Moon, on Saturday.
It seems Twilight sucked up all the young adult love, which may have contributed to the disappointing opening of Disney's Bolt over the weekend. The animated pup earned about $27 million and came in at No. 3, behind Quantum of Solace which had the No. 2 spot. The top five was rounded out by Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa in fourth place followed by Role Models in fifth.

i'm thrilled that they are making the 2nd book into a movie - and i hope that it means that the franchise will continue. there was such a cult following behind this one, and to be honest, i'm hooked and before saturday night i didn't care if i saw it or not. i'm going to see it again, and i can't wait for the next installations.
1duh

3yay!
4Hehe thanks Buzz! Yeah clearly Twilight was going to dominate ... pumped for movie #2 - hopefully they'll get a bigger budget and it won't be as cheesy!!!
5I have one.
Twilight might have drained the competition, but it sucked.
6Love the headline!
7Hmm..I saw the movie stills online, they look v. v. good looking people, but may not watch it since many have said the movie sux.
8Will wait 'till it's free-on-demand..so a few years from now.
Considering the budget, I didnt think it sucked at all.
9Ok.....not gonna lie......I loved it. And would totally see it again.
Some of the effects were less than amazing, but still. The nature scenes were incredible.
wow he looks hot in that pic!
10Um, I know I'm pretty behind with 'Twilight,' but can someone tell me one thing...I've read the description, characters, and even plot lines...what I don't understand is:
Why do these vampires go to..high school? I mean, I can imagine them attending colleges..but...high school..or are they going to college later?
Thanks and sorry for the retarded question
11hope2be -
It's hard to go to college when you are immortalized as a teenager.
The younger they can start in school, the longer they can stay in a certain place before having to move on.
12I picked up the Twilight book on Saturday at Walmart just because i'd heard so much about it and I finished it last night (Sunday) I am totally hooked. I'm runnign to a bookstore after work to pick up the second one... oh man I'm so hooked now.
13Really people said it sucked, I loved it and I've read the books. The movie was visually stunning and they got the characters dead on.
