Media insider press releases can be fairly dull, but there's an intriguing blurb in this one announcing the departure of a Walden Media co-founder:
[Cary] Granat will be Walden's creative consultant on the third installment in The Chronicles of Narnia franchise — Voyage of the Dawn Treader — which the company hopes to greenlight soon.
Greenlight soon? So it's not already going?
While the first two movies did well at the box office, the second film, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, got mixed reviews, which may have dampened the overall affection for the franchise. Already there were rumors that the third film could be the last in the series, and now I'm curious if you're worried that it's not yet greenlit. Has your excitement for Narnia movies has worn off a little? Or do you hope they keep working their way through the book series?

Yes I can't wait! You can probably tell by my avatar that I loved the second film, Prince Caspian, and I don't understand why there was such a mixed reaction. I thought it was better than the first film (but I think The Lion, the Witch, and Wardrobe was a better book). I can't wait for the next film!
1the first one was amazing, didn't like te prince one though, expected something more interesting. somehow fallen kingdom plot seemed washed up, as if it was a tv show and it was their 7 season already so they came up with this crappy plotline.
2That's one sexy lion!
3Yes, definitely. Even though the first was better. I want to see them all made into films -- it's been my dream since childhood. If they don't go through with it. I will be very mad.
4Whoops, meant to say "If they don't go through with it, I will be very mad."
5They've been okay, but I can do without them. The strong religious undertones aren't really my thing.
6K is For Kait: the religious undertones are present in the books, and they actually removed a lot of it for the movies to make it more "mainstream."
7i loved the books but i can't say that i've gotten into the movies. i think that it would be ok if they did a few more but i'll be just as fine w/o anymore
8I've yet to see the second one but the first one was amazing!
9Aww, I can't wait for all of them to come out. If the Magician's Nephew never gets made, I'm going to be seriously disappointed, because I wanted to see more of Jadis!
10I loved the books when I was little and I was a little upset that they didn't really do a movie to each book. It's alright though, I enjoy the movies a lot - and I really do hope that they won't stop making them!!
11i want to see all of them! Especially The Silver Chair(although the BBC version was gold, loved Tom Baker as Puddleglum) and Magician's Nephew!
12I loved the first, was too indifferent by the time the second came out. I dont care if there is a third.
I will stick to the books.
13I actually liked the second one better, but Voyage of the Dawn Treader was my favorite of the books so I really hope it gets made.
14I loved the books, & I thought the movies were alright, but I can go either way, take it or leave it.
15They just need to remember not to behead anything in future movies and I think they'll do fine. I really hope they keep going, they've done a great job so far.
16The story was changed rather significantly in Prince Caspian, but that's what happens in book adaptations. The Chronicles of Narnia are still my all-time favorite books and I think they've done a great job of telling these amazing stories on the big screen. I'd love to see more!
17i love dawn treader so I hope that one gets made. they'er awesome books and I enjoyed both the movies so far!
18i can't say as i've ever seen one or ever will so i dont' really care!!
19No. I don't like the books and I didn't like the first movie.
20imdb says "production likely to begin in early 2009." i would love to see the whole series get made
21i would be thrilled to see the entire series made into movies!
22i love the films i cant wait for the 3rd one to come out I LOVE NARNIA AND BEN BARNES lol
