There have been rumors flying recently that Paula Abdul could be on her way out of American Idol to work on other TV projects. Adding fuel to the fire is the addition of a fourth judge, Kara DioGuardi, which means the panel wouldn't be shorthanded if Paula did take off. Now, her publicist has said the rumor is "absolutely untrue," but it got me thinking. If you could get rid of one of the original three judges, which one would you choose to ditch, and why?

Simon may be a douche and Paula may be a hot mess, but they are still entertaining. Randy is just painful to watch.

5Paula's really the only one that amuses me at all, although I don't even watch the show, just the early bits with the awful auditions.

11i love it the way it is, but if anyone, Randy because he contributes less than the others...or the new girl, cuz i don't see the need to introduce anyone new!!
12While I like them all, they need to start over completely if they are gonna get someone new. Their dynamics together are good so throwing someone else in would not work nearly as well.
13As much as I think paula is an absolute trainwreck most of the time, Randy's comments do nothing to help anybody. They consist of "you know, dawg, that's what I like, dawg, and dawg dawg dawg." SHUT UP RANDY! YOU ARE NOT COOL!

15Randy rarely says anything useful or with enough emotion behind it. Paula is at least emotional and Simon is at least honest. Randy seems honest, but like, really boring.

21I think they should eventually phase out Randy and Paula. Randy is way too repetitive and Paula doesn't even make sense, but at least she is somewhat entertaining. Simon is my favorite though, by far, because he is honest and spot on 99.9 percent of the time. He can be a little mean sometimes, but honestly a lot of the people who audition on this show are legitimately stupid. Honestly, you think you sound good?

28Honestly, I like Randy, but I don't want him on the show anymore. Most of his critiques, while true, are watered down to the point that the contestants don't even know they were horrible. Paula gets enough press to keep people interested in her (what WILL she do next). And Simon, well, as much as I think he's an *ss, he's honest and generally right on the money.

paula is the most important in that show ! u don't have idea how many ppl watch the show just because of paula ! the panel is perfect like that ! simon and paula are the centre of the show !if paula weren't there , simon wouldn't have anyboby to play with !

32Paula Abdul should stay and find a replacement for Kara DioGuardi. Kara brought little to the show and added very little original input, seemed to always echo one of the other judges.
