Part of the fun of James Bond movies (like this weekend's Quantum of Solace) is seeing what each new actor brings to the role. There are always a few givens, since Bond has to be charming, stylish, clever and good with a gun. Oh, and he has to look great in a tux.
But this leaves room for variation, with each actor having a different take on how slick or funny or tough his Bond is. So who do you think makes the best James Bond?

I didn't like Bond movies before Daniel Craig so he's definitely my favorite.
1pierce was my favorite - and i think that it's probably cause i didn't get into bond until he was starring in the series. i can't get into daniel craig in the part but oh well.
2Sean Connery will always be the sexiest Bond.

13I absolutely LOVE Casino Royale and find Daniel Craigh an awesome Bond! I´ve been told he is much more like the book version of Bond also.

16To be honest, I've never seen any of the movies. Its really not my style (I'm a musical and horror movie type, really.) But Pierce Brosnan, according to all the trailers and promo shots, was way too gorgeous. Plus that's from "my era", the N64 game, GoldenEye... yes i have it, yes i still play it (I'm 20 and a big kid.) Although, Sean Connery is a classic.

19I think Brosnan was the best for the part looks-wise. I do enjoy the Moore ones, and Craig did an excellent job, too.

21I know Sean Connery is hard to top, but I grew up with Pierce Brosnan as James Bond, and I really like him more in that part. Although gender politics have changed in the span of 30 years between the two Bonds, he was nicer towards the women.
22I'm a Daniel Craig devotee, but my husband's favorite Bond is Roger Moore. As I understand, you can tell a lot about a man by his favorite Bond. (Rumor has it that Moore is the "thinking man's Bond," which does describe DH!)

24Sean Conner - I agree with Juicylemon, that's exactly what I think bond should be, then Pierce Brosnan - because he was sexy and funny, and then probably Daniel Craig.
I didn't like the others much, although I'm sure they were excellent actors, I just wasn't 'feeling' them as bond.
None of them really match the description in the book - well, how I envisioned him anyway
25i feel like i'm the only one that doesn't get the daniel craig love. I don't think he is that attractive, just old looking.

32Love James Bond!! To me, its a tie between Pierce and Sean. I absolutely can't stand Timothy Dalton in the role though! I get to see the new movie tonight and I am so excited!! I can't wait!

36Well, I've always like most of the men who played Bond. It's like each one of them gave their Bond something. And each of the fit for the time the played Bond. With the exception of George and Timothy, I thought they were both miscasted. I absolutely love Daniel as Bond.
37My boyfriend and I have this on going debate my favorite is Pierce Brosnan, his Sean Connery. Sean Connery maybe the better actor, but Pierce Brosnan so much nicer to look at.
