Word slipped out late yesterday that NBC was axing both Lipstick Jungle and My Own Worst Enemy from its schedule, but there's some good news today: There are reports that both shows will at least get to air their remaining episodes in their current time slots. Lipstick will have 13 episodes and is wrapping production on them this week, while Enemy will end after nine episodes.
According to The Futon Critic, Friday Night Lights could take over the Lipstick slot in January, to which I can really only say "hooray!" — this season's episodes on DirecTV have been wonderful. NBC hasn't announced a successor for Enemy yet, but it's now set up to end on the same day as the finale of the "Villains" chapter of Heroes, so if NBC wanted to completely overhaul its Monday schedule, that wouldn't be a bad time.
So, since networks seem to be in a chopping mood, what shows are next to worry about? Two ABC shows, Dirty Sexy Money and Pushing Daisies, seem particularly vulnerable, since neither was on a potential ABC midseason schedule that was floated earlier this week. There's a report that Prison Break could be on its way out. And while Chuck already has a full-season order, consider this my official plea for NBC to get it out of the high-traffic Mondays-at-8 time slot (competing against Gossip Girl, How I Met Your Mother, and, before long, House) if there's any hope for a season three.
Will you miss Enemy or Lipstick? And which other shows are you concerned about?

I LOVED LIPSTICK JUNGLE WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH :`(
1I'm a little concerned about Dirty Sexy Money, and VERY CONCERNED ABOUT PUSHING DAISIES!!
2I'm really bummed about NBC cancelling Lipstick Jungle! They're out of their minds I say, out of their freaking minds! That is such a crazy decision. I'm gonna miss this show so much. I want to know what happens next to Wendy, if the company she's planning will take off and above all, I really want to see Victory and Joe marry each other!
Okay, and his assistant too! Love her for telling Vic about Joe buying a ring!
3I'm gonna miss Ms. Ford and her gay assistant (who I still secretly wish will later on go back to being a guy, he's so cute!) and Joe Bennett
The only reason I'm glad My Own Worst Enemy is gone is because I've got 4 episodes on the Tivo that I haven't gotten around to yet and now I don't have to.
I'm really worried about Pushing Daisies and I totally agree about Chuck- get it out of there! When House moves to Mondays I'll be officially screwed...as it is I have to wait for HIMYM to come online to watch it
4Please ABC, don't take my Pushing Daisies away from me!! Life without Ned is like cherry pie without vanilla ice cream!
5I would be so HAPPY if they started FNL in January, i've heard the new season is amazing. Can't wait to see it!!!!!!
6That's really sad. I love Lipstick Jungle.
7These shows both sucked. I'm also 95% sure Daisies will be safe.
8I am so devastated they cancelled lipstick jungle! Thats like the only show I watch on tv. I was so into the characters and the fashion!
9Switch Chuck to Wednesdays - I have nothing to watch then!!!I am a bi fan of the show!! I am also worried about Privleged...such a good show!! I love it!
10PinkTink - the good news for Privileged is that it's getting five more episodes and will get to air after Gossip Girl a couple of times. I hope that will give it some more exposure!
11Crap. I enjoyed watching Lipstick Jungle.
12I have to agree with an article I read from someone from Pushing Daisies. The channels need to lower their rating expectations and they need to be more realistic about things after the strike.
13I am so mad about Lipstick Jungle.
I hope they don't cancel Prison Break. I know it has kind of gone on to long but this season has been really good it's like a whole new show and plus i get to see Dominic Purcell every week.
14I forgot to add YEAH for FNL i can't wait for it to come back on. I miss Riggins
15I personally really enjoy Pushing Daisies. I wasn't all that into it when it first started, but I really do like it now. I will be bummed if it is canceled.
16Hey Buzz why haven't you re-capped this week's Fringe yet?
17Lipstick Jungle noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. How can they cancel that and keep KNIGHT RIDER? COME ON NBC!
I just hope they give us some closure. I want some happily ever after for my ladies.
18if they cancel Dirty Sexy Money i will cry forever!!!!
19Can't wait for Friday Night Lights!!!
20amloveaffair — the Fringe recaps weren't super-popular, so I'm going to let that one go for a while. But I'm definitely still following the show and will write about it from time to time, and if enough people bug me, maybe I'll bring the full recaps back (but don't go sending, like, hands in jars to my office or anything, like the Jericho peanuts)!
21ah okay! It's getting good though! I so called the wife not being all innocent!
22I just started to watch Lipstick on DVD. Apparently I'm the kiss of death for shows. Booooo.
23I'M SO UPSET ABOUT LIPSTICK BEING CANCELLED. So sad
24I thought Daisies was already out? Did I miss something???
25No, Daisies is just on haitus for a few weeks
26
I love Lipstick Jungle, it's one of the few primetime shows I watch.
27Pushing Daisies is the best show on tv right now. It is so witty, fun, whimsical and I enjoy every minute of it! Put it on along with Ugly Betty and maybe it would do better. They are both really fun shows...although I don't watch UB. Most of the rest of ABC can go rot for all I'm concerned. Sorry, not bitter. Really.
At least I have Dollhouse to look forward to. But I'm not giving up hope...anyone for sending silk daisies to ABC??
28If they move Chuck, i hope its not to Wednesdays. Even though the ABC schedule isn't confirmed yet but it shows scrubs being in the 8/830 time slot which I'm super excited about.
Hopefully it stays that way because it wouldn't interfere with any other shows I watch.
29I'm bummed about Lipstick Jungle. It had a slow start, but it really picked up steam towards the end of the first season.
I'm happy that Friday Night Lights is finally heading back to primetime network TV though! Although I have to admit that I've been loading up on spoilers through tv.com.
30So sad to think Fox might give up on Prison Break. At least finish the season, and wrap up the series! There's nothing worse than when a long-running series just stops mid-season. I hate that they found a place for Sarah Connor but can't find a place for Dominic and the boys!
31The only bright side is that FNL will be returning in January. Seriously, I cannot wait!
32I hope FNL does well on NBC. I've been watching on direct TV and its been so good!
33that sucks --- i really liked lipstick jungle.
34I am extremely nervous for Pushing Daisies and Dirty, Sexy, Money. These are two FABULOUS shows that deserve a long life on TV. Especially Pushing Daisies!!!!
What is it even competing against on Wednesday at 8!?!
35i actually enjoyer lipstick
but i guess i'm a minority...
36I love Lipstick Jungle!!! I'm so upset!
37i think that it's so interesting that LJ did so well last year and now it's kind of hitting the breaks really hard. that's what happens when you're a mid-season fill in after the strike and there's not a lot of competition right? i loved it though and i'm sad to see it go but at least there's the rest of the season for me to look forward to.
38I don't understand how all of the actually original shows on television get axed and the tedious procedurals and insulting reality shows get to stay. It drives me nuts.
39So bummed about Lipstick Jungle, but I love Friday Night Lights and hope it does well in the time slot. Such an awesome show. Can't wait til January!
40I am so sad about Lipstick Jungle!!! It's one of the few shows on tv that I liked.
41I really hope Pushing Daisies stays on the air. That's the only show that I watch thats really in jeopardy.
I agree with saucymegstar, Pushing Daisies would be a great companion to Ugly Betty. It just seems odd to be on the same night as Private Practice and Dirty Sexy Money.
42I'd be sad to see Pushing Daisies go!! I love that show
43i love LJ..... awwww.....
44I am so bummed about Lipstick Jungle. I agree with other posts that it was picking up pace and getting really interesting. I tried Enemy and although it had potential, it was going to take a while to get it where it needed to be.
45I love Dirty Sexy Money and would be very bummed if it got canceled. I think it's found it's rhythm and is moving along at a very interesting pace right now. It's very upsetting when the networks axe shows based on ratings that aren't really the show's fault.
NBC always breaks my heart! there were so many great and hilarious shows that they pulled the plug mid season 1!! and now lipstick jungle and perhaps chuck!! what's worse of all is no more robert buckley
I really hope Chuck will be safe! As for Prison break, it's about time that it
gets the axe. They've dragged us on for way too long, I completely gave up on it past two seasons.
46I am bummed about My Own Worst Enemy; I was enjoying it.
47I LOVE Dirty Sexy Money AND Pushing Daisies, but if I had to save only one it'd be PUSHING DAISIES all the way. That show is darn right Whimsical!
48I'm really disappointed about My Own Worst Enemy getting canceled. It had a great premise, excellent actors, and was fun to watch. Too bad about Lipstick Jungle too. I've always liked Brooke Shields.
Any suggestions on best ways to petition to get the network execs to change their mind?
49I guess I should have seen it coming, since they moved LJ to a Friday slot ... but I was just telling Buzz how much I love it! Where else am I going to see Robert Buckley without a shirt on?
