Grey's Anatomy will welcome two new characters this week, just a week after the sudden departure of Brooke Smith's Dr. Hahn. We've already heard a bit about the two, Sadie and Dr. Virgina Dixon, but this is the first time we'll get to look at them walking the halls of Seattle Grace.
By the way, Kevin McKidd's Dr. Owen Hunt was officially made a regular character — like there was any doubt! — so we'll have him around to treat wounds and complain about the residents' attitudes for a while longer. Will either Melissa George's Sadie or Mary McDonnell's Virginia end up on the show full-time? To watch clips of each actress talking about her character and interacting with the rest of the Grey's gang, read more.

I freaking love Mary McDonnell!!!!
1Mary McDonnell is so amazing! i am super-excited to watch her on grey's now that BSG isn't on until january!
i dunno about the sadie person. what about christina? i hope her friendship with mere won't suffer.
2Mary McDonnell seems to understand Virginia very well; I'm looking forward to watching her in this role. Not so sure about Sadie yet, but she could shake things up.
3i like both characters.
4but dr dixon plays her part very well.
Grey's is on tonight?
5Grey's is on tomorrow night.
6i was just about to say the same thing - it's tomorrow night - THURSDAY not Wed.
anyway, i love new characters to watch - so i can't wait to see what they do with the new ones!
7I'm excited, they both look like interesting characters!
8This show is not over yet? it was good at the beginning now its just bad
9I started watching it in the first season for the medical aspect but then it's all hooking up and breaking up marriages and whining. It rarely holds on to the image of an intelligent woman able to handle the stress of being a doctor or being a balanced single woman. I can't stand any character except Miranda and that's probably because they treat her character as if she's incapable of being loving or lovable...so, the never seen, quickly deleted husband is all she gets? I digress...before they make her a scorned woman, converted lesbian as well. It's a shame... the show could have been an awesome catalyst for well-adjusted, life changing women. Instead we get Meredith, Izzie, Christine and Sara.
10I'm actually excited about this episode.... They've gotten people so tired of the current characters that they really need to bring in some new characters to shake things up - and I'm not talking about how they brought on Erica Hahn and tried to make a relationship between her and Callie. That was the most horrible, forced relationship that I have ever watched, IMO.
11Really love these new characters!!!...Mary McDonnell plays her part really well, can't wait for the new episode....I'm concerned about Cristina....I like the friendship between C & M....this Sadie better not mess it up..
12I agree with Fab, hope Sadie won't screw up the friendship and I feel bad for Cristina because she seems to be excluded.
13It's great to see more of Melissa George - really like her
