Didja get that? It's a spoof movie, but it's not spoofing serious movies — it's spoofing spoof films like Date Movie and Not Another Teen Movie (and the upcoming Wayans Brothers comedy, Dance Flick). Hence the title: Not Another Not Another Movie. This project is already making me chuckle, I can't wait to see it — especially since it stars Chevy Chase, whom I love. The Hollywood Reporter explains:
Chase plays a studio head who quits his floundering company, leaving his ex-con sibling ([Michael] Madsen) in charge. Soon their equally inept gangster friend ([Vinnie] Jones) takes over and assigns a production assistant (David Leo Schultz) to direct a spoof of spoof movies. [Burt] Reynolds plays an actor playing the director of the chaotic film within the film.
So, everything clear now? What do you think of this idea? A little too meta, or perhaps too silly? Or right up your alley? What will it look like to spoof spoof movies?

1I might actually enjoy it. I hate Spoof movies though, they are not funny at all.
2Sounds interesting. I hate spoof movies. I've probably seen only one or 2 but that was more than enough. And since the actors are playing specific stereotypes/characters it just ends up looking like bad acting.
3I might actually see this. Every time that another spoof movie comes out I groan and say "Seriously?! People are still watching this crap?"
4With names like Chase, Reynolds and Madsen tied to it, I'll watch just because it's sure to bring the LOL's! LMAO
5i effin HAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE spoof movies, the fist scary movie was funny, after that, it just sucked harder and harder.
spoof movies are right up there with jackie chan movies...NO ONE WATCHES THEM DAMN IT!!!

7I hate those spoof movies. I have been waiting for them to make one called Funny Movie so that its ironic when it isn't funny, b/c those movies lack originality, its the same old joke.

I actually spoof movies because its fun once in awhile to just watch something mindlessly entertaining and trying to figure out what movies they are spoofing. This new project sounds great, especially since it involves Chevy Chase.

12well i never got into the spoofs to begin with so i think that this concept is a bit too much for me, but i guess that it's not my place to say what the public wants since we've seen how successful some of those have been.
13I can't imagine how they are going to do this well.
