I've yet to meet a Pixar movie that I haven't loved, and I think it's safe to say that Up, which hits theaters in May 2009, will be one of those animated films that I'll go see in the theaters even without kids. Until now, all I'd seen of Up was a glimpse of a house floating off the ground with the help of a humongous bunch of balloons, but now a new teaser trailer is out, and it gives me a much better sense of what Up is all about.
The teaser introduces us to Carl Fredricksen, the adorably surly 78-year-old protagonist of the story. We meet him as his house breaks free of his moorings and takes to the air, all alone . . . except for an 8-year-old named Russell who's somehow taken refuge on his porch. According to the official plot description, "the unlikely pair encounter wild terrain, unexpected villains, and jungle creatures." Jungle creatures?
Needless to say, I'll be keeping my eye on Up between now and May 29. To watch the teaser, just read more.

1Oh I'm so on this. Whatever Pixar is selling, I'm buying.
2I saw the trailer last night and I fell in love with Carl and the colorful balloons
3Aw
this looks too cute! I always love Pixar movies
4i have a soft spot for pixar movies and this one i will have to agree with you and say that i'll probably go to see it in the theater...child or no child.
5Wall-E was the best movie I've seen in a long time, I'm sooooo excited. Plus after that on their docket are Cars 2, & Toy Story 3. So after Up! we will have to wait another 2 years before Pixar does another completely new piece.
6looks cute and fun
7Haha I love it! Will definitely have to see that.
8This looks really cute and super funny! Cant wait to take my godson to see it!
9I LOVE Pixar Movies! And this one looks like another winner
10I wasn't impressed by the trailer, but I thought Wall-E looked stupid too and it turned out to be AMAZING. Every Pixar movie has been great so far, so I can't wait.
11Aaaaawww Carl looks adorable. Love Pixar movies, well... except cars.
