We've witnessed Betty Suarez the heartbreaker for some time now (turning down engagements, letting Gio slip away in favor of some alone time) but on this week's Ugly Betty [1] we see Betty Suarez with a major crush on a boy. It's cute to see her swoon and make not-so subtle attempts to show the object of her affection how she feels.

Betty isn't the only one crushing. Love is in the air for several Mode employees, including Marc and — most unexpectedly — Wilhelmina. Yes, even the most evil of us are no match for a smoldering set of eyes and a dashing smile. To talk about which characters get what they want and whose feelings are unrequited, just .
- Betty waking up super early to run into Jesse is pretty cute. She's so not subtle about the whole "Oh, imagine you here while I'm leaving for work" thing, but I was charmed by her dweeby crush.
- I spit out my drink when Amanda appears naked in the wee morning hours at the office. Turns out she got evicted from her apartment ("I didn’t pay my rent a couple of times and they got so nasty about it.")
- As the night progresses, Betty gets even dorkier about her crush! Daniel catches her singing along to Jesse's lyrics (super off-key). I laughed.
- So the new CFO, Connor, is super sexy (does he remind anyone else of Daniel Craig [2]?) and makes the ladies around the office swoon. This annoys Wilhelmina and she says something about hating women because they're weak.
- Willi is also annoyed by the camaraderie between Connor and Daniel: "I hate that stupid fist bump" and "I will not constantly be overruled by silly white boys."
- The montage of life with Amanda in Betty's apartment killed me. This episode is so great with its Amanda time! She cracked me up when she declares she can't sleep and hops in bed with Betty! ("Sometimes it helps if you tickle my back and tell me I'm pretty.")
- She's equally hilarious at the office where she's constantly poking around Betty and listening in on her conversations. ("We’re roommates now . . . I'm supposed to be all up in your biz!")
- So turns out Willi has a little crush on Connor and even imagines a make-out session with him, complete with "Sexual Healing" in the background!
- How'd you like the whole Suarez family chipping in for the roof party? I loved Hilda's suggestion of sangria, followed by a quick reminder to Justin that drinking's bad.
- OK so do we feel Jesse led Betty on? I mean, he calls her a snowy day and says she's so beautiful, and then he makes out with Amanda. I mean, if a guy called me his snowy day I might not jump to happily-ever-after, but still.
- Props to those of you who caught Cliff's brief appearance last week [3] — I totally missed it. He wants Marc to move in with him, which totally freaks Marc out. Marc then does some very not-nice things instead of being honest with Cliff about his feelings.
- Willi shows up to the Mode "after party" and quickly discovers in disgust what the real deal is ("Am I to understand I’m on Betty’s roof?"). And then she discovers Connor has a fiancé! And then she and Betty silently reflect together on how much it sucks when I guy you like doesn't like you back. It was the cutest thing in the world, in a strange way.
- Betty's breakdown to Daniel about how she knows she's not beautiful and his response nearly had me in tears myself ("Men are stupid. They go for the obvious. You have to believe me when I say this. You are beautiful."). I am totally emotionally at the mercy of this show.

So Betty and Amanda make up because Amanda really didn't know Jesse was the guy Betty liked, and I'm totally digging them as friends — what do you think? What's to become of Jesse and Betty? What did you think of this episode overall?
