I also hate the Toyota ads but my most hated commercial right now is the one for Friendly's where the kids and the soccer mom are singing in the minivan. It makes me want to stick hot pokers into my ears.

I have no idea how that is a jingle. Its hardly a song and yet they used it to advertise. Who made that? How did they not get fired? How is that a commercial? What does it even MEAN!!!!!!!!! Ahhh!

The "Saved By Zero" ads just make me start singing the whole song in my head instead of stoppping where the commercial does. The Fixx must be making lots of money off of these. At least they're being recognized again, they're an awesome band.

Also, ads that feature talking babies really freak me the heck out.

Also, I watch a lot of football, and Bud Light's stupid "drinkability" ads come up every single commercial break. Lamest ad campaign ever ... well, OK, second-lamest to Microsoft's Bill Gates/Jerry Seinfeld debaucle.

Two ads I will actually stop my TiVo to watch:
- Apple ("I'm a Mac"): It seems like these have been around forever, but they never get old.
- Free Credit Report: I don't know who writes those little ditties, but they're darn catchy, and their spokesdude is cute as a button.

i agree with 356UIK, "Saaaaaaaved byyyyyy zeeeeeerooooooooo" no idea what it's for, but it gets SO stuck in my head when i hear it! gets stuck in the boyfriend's head too, which sucks for me because even he is singing it! blarg!

gotta say though, i still love the song from the mercenaries II ad. i was so glad when it got posted on whichever sugar stream, allowing me to rewatch it over and over again for like a week.

The Freecreditreport.com commercials are extremely good advertising. They are so catchy. I read in an article that the guy is actually French Canadian and his singing has to be dubbed because he doesn't speak English very well.

I also love those Clorox commercials with the kids in the bathroom. One is of a boy that imagines he's a pirate and is riding a horse across a field as ships are floating in the sky. It is so beautiful.

The 2 ads I absolutely can not stand are the whole Glade campaign commercials-

Where she has the cookies sitting on the counter, her friends wallk in, mention the smell, she says its cause she just baked cookies. At which point the cookie lifts its head and says "no, its this Glade candle." AT WHICH POINT, SHE PICKS UP SAID COOKIE and BITES ITS HEAD OFF, at which point, the cookie screams. Then she looks at her friends who are looking at her like shes crazy. WTF!? Oh yah, I want a Glade candle now.

Then the taco bell commercial where the 4 guys are at a fancy dinner and the guy has ordered Taco Bell through the window in the restaurant. I literally have to change the channel because that whole concept is so freaking stupid, my brain hurts. Dumb.

Ooh, yes, Brian. That Taco Bell commercial pisses me off too.

Yay! I'm not the only person who hates those Save by Zero commercials. I was just thinking that yesterday as I was changing the channel during the commercial. I also hate the High Fructose corn syrup is just like sugar and you can have it in moderation (regardless of that fact that it's in too many things). I could list quite a lot of commercials I hate. Commercials I like are harder to think of. Recently though I like the AT&T commercial with the Dinosaur at the party. "Yay Memories!"

Can not stand Brooke Shields, SAved by Zero and the damn 5 Dollar footlong commercials. They are all so damn annoying.

I also love the commercial for whatever phone company it is with the rollover minutes - I used to laugh OUT LOUD every time when the dad says "isn't your sister lactose intolerant?" and the boys laugh, and the mom shakes her finger at them. the new one is funny too - "why does he get all the new minutes?"

and, to make this post longer, I HATE those glade ads with that ridiculous woman trying to pass off all her glade candles and sh*t as some expensive french boutique ... omg her acting is so over the top it makes me want to scream.

I HATE those Toyota commercials! I thought I was the only one who it really bothered, glad to see I'm not alone. That's horrible to hear they are staying on air another month, I don't even watch football games or the sports programming they are flooding with this commercial, and I still hear it all the time every day.

I do like the swiffer (i think) commercials, where the old mops and brooms show up and the "baby come back!" music plays. They play them a little too much, but they are sort of funny.

Ohhh the best commericals are the ones with the stain that talks over the guy everytime he opens his mouth in an interview. I think it is an advert for a stain stick or something, but I love that stain!!

I hate Sonic commercials, but only because there's no Sonic anywhere near me. Seeing the commercials just rubs it in my face that I cant get Sonic...assholes.
I hate the cash for gold commercials. They always have some creepy old lady talking about the money they got for there "scrap gold." It just creeps me out. (hahaha, the commercial just came on)

i just LOVE saying routan boom so i think that it's one of my favorite commercials, and if you think about it - the new creditreport.com commercials are really funny with the rapping. that's a new interpretation and it like it.

i work in advertising though - so there are a lot of times that i'll do my best to AVOID watching commercials.

I think Crispin Porter's VW ads are decently funny. The Routan Boom commercial makes me laugh, but at the same time I want to scream. I've seen better work.

And let me just say that I LOATHE the freecreditreport.com commercials. Anytime I hear that stupid guy start singing I HAVE to mute my TV or change the channel. I can't stand it.

And this may be a local ad, but I hate the sexist Vonage commercial where the man says he is getting it as an anniversary gift for his wife, because she likes to talk on the phone all the time, and since he pays the bill he gains too.

I agree brandiesel - those glade commercials are so annoying! I hate the one where she tries to say that the Glade is a candle from France and her friend sees the label sticking to her butt. Drives me nuts every time!

Also, almost all Taco Bell ads annoy me, more the radio than TV ads, but they don't have me wanting to think outside the bun.

The VW commercials don't really bother me,I think it's cute. But the saved by zero ads make me MAD! I don't know if I'm missing something, like I should be recognizing the song "Saved by Zero" but I don't and it's freaking annoying. It's on every 4th ad on football nights, I can't stand it.
I'm generally tired of all drug prescription ads. I do love the credit report commericals with the 3 guys singing, funny.
If you live in the DC area, there are cashpoint ads. "Get the cash you need in a flash at cash point!" they are re-dic-u-lous. It's like, bring in your car title and get CA$H, like there aren't any consequences later, like they now own your car if you don't pay them!
