Politicians have always been excellent fodder for comedy and this election season has been very entertaining on SNL (due in large part to Tina Fey's spot-on impressions of Sarah Palin). The SNL Presidential Bash even garnered record ratings on Monday night.

But now that the election is over, will this all still be as funny? Do you think you'll lose interest in the show, or did the election-inspired skits revive your faith in general?

Hopefully, Amy Poehler will visit from maternity leave and do another rap since the Sarah Palin sketch was hilarious.
1I miss Amy
She was the heart and soul of this new cast. I don't like the guy who
does the Obama impression either...
2most of the SNL election skits were great, but then you watch the rest of SNL and it's just awful. I'll give them a chance but as long as Andy Samberg keeps making stupid digital shorts and Kristin Wiig keeps talking in the same voice for all her characters, I'm not gonna tune in.
3i might tune in but i have to say that in the past few weeks, the only reason that i watched was for the political stuff. i kind of lost interest in the whole structure of the show - so we'll see what they do now. i don't think that they do the best job with obama, so i'm not sure what to make of it.
4I said yes but not because "it's gotten better lately". I've always been an SNL fan and still love it!
5ive always been a loyal snl fan
6IMHO it hasn't been funny in years. If something noteworthy happens I'll watch it online, other than that I don't watch any of it.
7I have been enjoying SNL much more than Mad TV recently. Mad TV's skits seem to be pretty lame lately.
8i have been watching it for the last 4 years and never even thought of abandoning it
you should add an aswer "i've always been faithful"
)
9I watch it when I have time. I've seen it in bad seasons and good ones, and have done so since I was too little to understand 75% of what was on.
When I say a "Long time" I mean..this long:
"Jane..you ignorant slut."
Long time.
10I'm never home on Saturday nights to watch SNL. I haven't watched since I was like 16.
11Loyal SNL fan here! I'll watch until they go off the air.
12i would watch it if i were home. i would choose it over other things. but i'm never home on saturday nights!
13i saw an early rerun episode this past saturday cuz i was flipping through
but it's not like i'm normally sitting around at that time looking for something to do
I've never been a fan, so no.
14I don't think I could miss SNL if I wanted to. I started watching when I was 11 and wasn't allowed up that late, so I had to sneak into the TV room, and turn the volume waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down low so I could watch. I loved it!
15I've only been watching the election sketches anyway. The rest of the skits have been uber lame and quite unfunny.
I miss 90s SNL...Church Lady, Coffee Talk, etc.
16I go through phases of watching SNL. I think I'll keep watching for now, Kristin Wiig is the funniest person on there right now!
17Kristin Wiig, Jason Sudeikis, Will Forte... LOVE THEM.
18I said yes, but there should have been an option of 'I have always watched it, and I will never stop.'
I love Kristin Wiig, esp. her character who freaks when there is a secret.
19I've watched SNL for a long time, so I'll probably keep watching it.
