On this week's Gossip Girl, Little J breaks into the bigtime, staging a guerrilla fashion show (Dan: "I don't even know what that means!") to drum up some interest in her renegade fashion line. That, naturally, means the black eyeliner is out in full force, along with the influence of Agnes, who — if nothing else — certainly knows how to get press.

Meanwhile, Blair tries to babysit and blackmail her way into Yale, Dan feels inadequate, and some stuff happens with Serena and the new guy, a relationship I'm just really not feeling. Ready to talk about it? Just read more.
- So hey, Jenny's whipped up a whole fashion collection basically overnight and plans to crash a big charity ball with the hopes of getting attention/funding. It's a pretty crafty idea, but it's nearly foiled by her big bro, when Dan walks in on the scene of them loading the clothes out of the apartment, learns Jenny's quit working for Eleanor, and realizes his little sister's gone all "downtown" or whatever.
- Dan can't keep himself from tattling, but he's preoccupied with other stuff, namely that the TA from Yale has apparently failed to get him any letters of recommendation from passing around his story and that Vanessa has been suspiciously avoiding the Humphrey place ever since Nate moved in. Hmm, what could that be about?
- Meanwhile, Serena attempts to make up for the fact that Yale bigwigs find her delightful by setting up Blair with a babysitting gig for the daughter of the dean's friend. Now, I can't imagine Blair being a great babysitter under any circumstances, but taking a 13-year-old to the movies is definitely not her idea of a good time.
- It's not Emma's idea of a good time, either, because she's wrapped up in a full-out contest with some chick named Muffy to see who can lose her virginity first. Their whole conversation is hilarious (Blair: "Oh my God, stop your mouth from moving"), but I couldn't help but wonder if there really was something to that whole racy TV/teen pregnancy story.
- Ugh, especially when Chuck Bass steps in to foil Blair's plans of taking Emma to the charity gala and instead gets her in a cab headed downtown. Dude, at least check for ID first or something.
- Lots of phone blackmail: one of a Gossip Girl spy catching Nate and Jenny kissing (to Dan's dismay), another of Blair catching the Yale donor smooching some guy at the bar. So wait — the donor and her daughter ended up at the same club? That was kinda confusing.
- Love Rufus trying to bribe the cab driver as he's trying to catch up to Jenny at the charity ball. Dan: "Dad, that's a $1."
- Blair and Chuck hatch a scheme to save Emma, generating a Gossip Girl post about how Muffy's "muff" had been "stuffed." First, ew. Second, kind of brilliant on their part. And it gives a chance for a good lesson, c/o Blair, about making sure your first time is with someone you love.
- Oh, and Serena keeps trying to catch up with Aaron, but every time she does, there appear to be other girls around, even on his phone. Yawn. I don't know; this just isn't working for me, whatever old stories of camp and licorice rings it may entail.
- Jenny's show actually seems pretty awesome, with the lights out and flashes of girls dancing on a video screen. Then Agnes comes out, all dangerous-style and kicks over some champagne glasses, and everyone seems to actually be enjoying themselves for some reason. I loved Lily's nerdy dancing/snapping to the music.
- And then, caught up in the moment, Nate kisses Jenny, and Vanessa spots them and flees. Jenny goes after Vanessa instead of staying with Nate, apparently solidifying Nate's plans to get out of the Humphrey household and up to his mom's place ASAP.
- Meanwhile, Rufus turns Jenny in to the police. Which, OK, if Jenny's name was on those Polaroids, are the cops just the dumbest cops ever for not being able to find her on their own? Lily won't press charges, though.
- Blair's speech to Emma about getting her mom's attention is good enough that Emma tells the dean that Blair's the person she'd most like to have dinner with. Yale secured!
So, Blair and Serena are going to college together, Dan's writing to try to make some kind of mark on the world, Nate's off to the Hamptons, and Jenny's braving the mean streets of New York City with nothing but her sewing machine and eyeliner supply. Pretty dramatic ending there. Where will things go from here? Sound off below, and to check out all the clothes, head to CelebStyle!

I LOVED when Blair told Emma that her first time with with someone she loved(Chuck!
). Aww.
Also when Chuck told Blair that he'd do anything for her. Adorable.
I'm completely bored with the Jenny/Nate storyline and the Serena/Aaron storyline. Why is she even wasting her time? He is so lame.
1Jenny's dress is from H&M, by the way. I saw it on the news.
2this episode w as just okay. I really don't find Aaron believable at all. I want Dan/Serena back! I think that since they're friends they'll have a better relationship when that time comes. Before they just jumped in.
Blaire telling Emma she loved her first. Awh! I want Blair/Chuck back!
Jenny was annoying this week. Mostly because of Agnes. She's a bad actress. The show was awesome though and I loved Lilly's dancing! I LOLed!
Oh and Dan constantly gets THE BEST one liners!
3This episode was annoying; Serena is really livng up to the dumb and blond sterotype, Jenny is out of control and Rufus didnt' even have the balls to do anything about it, Aaron is FUGLY and a complete douche with all his female "friends", and all that flailing and screeching doesnt suit Blair AT ALL, she's supposed to be Queen B, not some flustered fool.
I hope the upcoming funeral is for Vanessa who consistently contributes absolutely nothing except a pretty face. It also really bugged me how selfish and unconcerned Serena was after she was the one who put Blair up to babysitting
4I love it when Blair told Serena to come with her 'cause she owes it to Blair and then tells Chuck that he has to go too, and clicks her fingers at his face.. and he follows! Haha.
Blair had a lot of lines that made me laugh. This line I liked in particular, "Fine fine we're saving emma from the big bad wolf but after that it's bulldog bulldog rah rah rah!" Lol.
And can Vanessa just stop from having that pained look on her face? Yeah Dan and Little J are kissing.. i like Little J than you so butt out. Lol. That's mean. But really, I don't know what she's still doing on the show.
And that camp boy dropping by Serena's house -- you would think Serena would've donned a robe or something to cover up. No, she just goes out to greet whoever visits her in her skimpy night gown. Nope it's not because she's a big flirt.. she didn't even know it was camp boy who's there in the first place!
5I loved it when Dan said "I don't even know what that is..."
I thought the whole Emma storyline was a little cheesy, but it worked for me. All of the sweet looks between Chuck and Blair almost made me cry. They are so cute together!
Every time Jenny would talk about Nate I would scream at the TV "No!!" And then when they kissed... ARGH! I don't like them together, but I think it makes a good storyline, even though I don't see it working out. I think just deep down I really don't want Nate and Vanessa together, so I'll settle for Jenny and Nate. I did want to see Dan punch Nate though.
The whole Aaron thing is a little weird. I think Serena would be able to get someone so much better.
Buzz, I swear. All of your eyeliner jokes crack me up!
6I have been loving GG lately!
I agree with you though Buzz, the Aaron thing was lame. And also redic, I mean who leaves an outgoing message about a girl (Serena) and then another girl picks up the phone?? And then the lame excuse about not telling her who those girls were--and he's not cute!
I loved mostly everything else except why won't Nate move in with Chuck, or except help from anyone but Dan--odd.
7Buzz, I think you got the name confused in the last point: shouldn't it be "Blair's speech to Emma"? Or am I getting confused with the names?
I thought the episode was pretty good, and nicely funny. Blair had some great lines (I loved how Emma tells her she's perfect and Blair replies "True!"). Nice to see her sassyness back!
It was nice to see Dan have a real storyline too, I was so tired of him being a pushover. Not sure how the only way to become ambitious is about writing that Chuck story though, couldn't he just use it as an inspiration? Can't wait to see how they'll use that in the future episodes.
Aaron is such a dull character, even Serena seems bored. Once again I couldn't care less about Vanessa (even though for once I feel bad for her). As for Little J, she was getting cute again and then bam! she's back to being a brat! Packing her bags already? Poor Rufus! I hope they'll keep the Jenny/Nate story though, I was enjoying that!
8Advah, you're right - thanks! Fixed it. I think I just love the name Muffy so much that I got it stuck in my head.
9Haha I agree TheEnchantedOne, Serena's pj are on the leggy/booby side!!
Happs, I'm with you - I can't get enough of the eyeliner jokes. Keep 'em coming, Buzz!
10Jenny's voice and 'freak outs' grats on my nerve...
11Hehe no prob.
Muffy does crack me up too; for the whole ep
I thought my English was getting worse, I couldn't figure out whether that girl's name was Buffy or Muffin..
12On one hand, I understand why Jenny couldn't be arrested on the otehr hand she needs to understand that there are consequences to her actions. so far she's managed to do things that other girls her age would've gotten into massive sh*t for and she's only been rewarded. Well, except for the gay boyfriend thing, but even then that was sort of brushed over since she just dropped out of school. I hope she learns that there are consequences to her actions and that once you betray someone's trust you need to earn it back.
Dan is a sucky writer. I don't understand how you intend to write fiction but you can't actually *write* without basing it on someone else's life story. Really? Come on now.
Whiny Blair is no fun, although I did like the Chuck/Blair interaction along with Blair's lines while she was dealing with Emma. Serena and Aaron story line dragged out way too much and it's just one episode, agree with Blair about her needing to forget it. Normally I think the whole, little kid crush to older love thing is adorable but here it was just too forced.
13That Emma girl was only 13???!! Did they say that?? I just assumed she was like 15 or 16! Gross!
14PS Jenny is really getting on my nerves. I hope she disappears for a few episodes like last time.
Can I just say something about the clothes? First of all, some of Blair and Serena's nightgowns are nicer than my cocktail dresses. Second of all, is it really accurate to call what Jenny was wearing a dress? Because to me, it looked like a shirt. And not even a very long one.
Serena and Aaron's storyline is just....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Sorry, fell asleep there for a second.
The previews for next week look kind of awesome. A possible Chuck/Dan war? Obvious who's gonna win that one.
15i agree, jenny is such a pain!
16I like the Jenny storyline now...her trying to take Blair down just wasn't working, so now instead of taking people down she's just a confused girl who is trying (but doesn't know how) to get what she wants. Much better.
17Rufus was hilarious in the cab!!! He said something along the lines of "you're a cab, can't you do that weaving thing?" The $1 he handed the driver was funny too.
What is Nate's problem that he can't not kiss every girl on the show? I'm so tired of him switching girls/women all the time.
Can someone point me in the way of a preview for the next episode? I didn't get a chance to watch it on TV last night so I had to download it and they cut the preview off.
18well last season i didn't watch GG so i missed out on a lot, but i think that this season isn't too bad to enjoy. i think that there was a lot more expectation on jenny's line - at least from me since her dress from the previous episode was so cute - but that's just me. i think that it's going to be interesting to see what they do about her character now.
i like that blair is getting back into the good graces of everyone - that's a nice thing to see her being a good role model from time to time.
so what is going to happen with serena and aaron? really? i wonder if that one will come to fruition for them, or if they are just not going to be a good match.
19Jenny's guerilla fashion show was so horrible. Between the dresses and the music, ugh. It's almost as bad as the out of no where Jenny/Nate relationship.
That said it was a nice touch that the girl that took the picture of Jenny and Nate kissing was the Serena fan from the park.
20I watched it online too amloveaffair, you can see next week's preview on cwtv.com
21The nate/jenny relationship isn't really out of nowhere. They've been friends for a while and I think things just develop.
Did anyone else see the creepy guy when that girl was taking a picture of jenny&nate kissing? He was just staring at the girl taking the picture!
22They hinted at the Jenny/Nate hookup in season one during the episode about Blair's B-day, so I don't really think that relationship came out of nowhere. . . I just watched the preview for next week, and it looks SO GOOD I can't wait!!
23blair had the best one liners imo, hel-lo muffy the lacrosstitute?! and then when Emma says she is perfect she answered 'True'. made me laugh!
24Thanks Missy! and I'm glad someone knows what I'm talking about in season 1 with Jenny/Nate!
25The whole Jenny eyeliner thing is so distracting (well, that and her aversion to pants). She's drowning in rebel kid eyeliner.
Muffy being a "lacrosstitute" cracked me up. Glad Blair did the right thing with the mom. That was a sad family situation- nice for her to think of someone else for once.
Dan's "Dad, that's a $1" made me laugh, too. Poor Rufus. He's so out of the game.
26Right, remember when Nate accidentally kissed Jenny in season 1. He thought it was Serena but it was Jenny instead...there was a little something there back then!
27Did anyone else love when Blair referred to Muffy as a "lacrosse-titute"???
28lacrosse-titute is my favourite new word!
29If I acted the way Jenny is acting, my parents would have never let me see the light of day again. I can't imagine being so disrespectful to my father.
30I am not loving this Aaron/Senena thing either, it just seems too forced and too cheesy, the way Dan looks at her still, how the heck can she even think of licorice rings???
Love love love chuck and blair, chuck is getting more and more "humane" with each episode, although I'd take him in any way, shape, or form.
I am not loving little J's new look, although i do enjoy her and Nate together, Vanessa just does nothing for me and we've known since the first few episodes something was going to develop for Little J and Nate.
31And what about when Nate was having problems back in season 1? I can't remember if it was about his parents insisting on the Nate-Blair coupledom (with the engagement ring and whatnot) and him not feeling it for B anymore.. and he's out in the streets and he's trying to figure out who to call and Jenny walks by instead. He was able to talk about his prob with Jenny.
There are a lot of instances in the first season where they're like frequent confidants.
I didn't like Jenny in the first season so I wasn't rooting for her and Nate. But I like her now, she's grown on me. Vanessa on the other hand......
32Watching Nate and Jenny kiss is painful. I can't get it out of my head that she is 15 and Chace is 21 or something. So grosssss.
Speaking of Jenny...her whole storyline is completely ridiculous and unbelievable. I thought her fashion show was completely lame. If that had happened at an event I was at, I would have laughed. The clothes weren't even that cute and their little video was so stupid. I felt like I was rolling my eyes for a full five minutes during that bit. I liked Jenny's storylines with Blair a lot better.
Vanessa is totally pointless at this point and I'm just waiting for the writers to start building the sexual tension up between Dan and Vanessa. Surely they will make them hook up at some point after the whole "You said you loved me!" fiasco at the masked ball.
On a different note, I would really be interested in what kind of boob tape their costume department is using on Blake Lively. They keep putting her in these plunging tops and her boobs look ridiculously perfect in them- it's not fair! Are they fake?
33The use of 'lacrostitute' was priceless.
Anyone else find Nate extremely frustrating? As adorable as he is he's a ho there is no denying it! He's basically been with every main girl in the show yet we all hate Chuck for being the cad, I guess Nate being so pretty he gets away with it haha
And I dunno, I kinda like Aaron. As much as I used to like Dan he's starting to annoy me lately so I think he's a good replacement for Serena
34Not to be totally gross, but was anyone else wondering if the title of the episode had anything to do with Emma's quest to get de-flowered?
35I must say it wasn't my favorite episode, having been almost entirely focused on Lil J. But I did love the cab moment. "Dad that's a one." OMG! So freaking funny.
36Nate kissed Jenny when he thought she was Serena. Nate talked to Jenny once when he couldn't talk to Blair. And Nate did Jenny a favor with the whole "hooking up with a friend" thing. A romance that does not create.
Maybe if they dropped a couple hints here and there lately, sure. Otherwise I find it a little hard pressed to say that they didn't spring it out of no where.
37not my favorite one but still very good.
i don't get it why is Nate still mad at Chuck?
loved all Chuck and Blair moments. For you?Anytime.
and why can't they use some good oldschool songs instead of those pathetic covers? Last week How soon is now? and now Sheena is a punk rocker? What's next?
38RK2590 - ewwww, I hadn't even thought of that. Honestly, I'm hoping the writers didn't either because, blech.
I'm with the other commenters on here about the use of "lacrostitute." So awesome.
39shiny happy people
40I know, right emms!? Jeez. Also can someone please talk about what serena was wearing to meet Emma's mother??? I mean it was short, plunging and tight. Cute but not what I'd wear to meet the dean of Yale's friend.
41WORST EPISODE EVER.
So bad. So many cliches.
TOO MUCH OF annoying little J.
Aaron is meant to be so much cuter and like just sweet in general. And the actor who plays him is ugly and completely lacking in sweetness.
I thought I hated them together, but i seems I hate them even more when their apart and pining for each other. I am of course talking about dan and serena.
42So sick of Jennys storylines and her whininess
Vanessa is a worthless character and needs to get over herself
Aaron is fugly and I reallly hope Serena and him don't get together....please have her and Dan back together again sooon! (And Chuck and Blair while they're at it!)
This season has been my least favorite so far....really hope something good starts to happen. The previews look pretty promising for next week though!
43Ok, there was actually a lot of really funny, albeit unbelievable stuff here!!
1) My favorite Blair line of the night 'lacrostatute'. Seriously, this word needs to become part of everyone's vocabulary. But 'make your mouth stop moving' was also excellent.I actually generally loved Blair here, because it is ALWAYS awesome to watch Blair have to try and do normal teen age girl things, like BABYSIT, that are just not in the Waldorf world. And, I have to admit, it was touching how Blair really got where Emma was coming from at the end and realized she was a little Serena-slut in training, but maybe could be a Blair in training with fewer STDs instead and stuck up for her to her mom. Who was, ( didn't think it was possible) an even WORSE mother than Blair's own! Poor Emma totally needs a Dorota of her own!! Maybe Dorota has a neice or a cousin or something looking for work...
2) Chuck was also quite endearing this episode. He will in fact, do anything for Blair and despite wanting to take her down himself, will DEFINITELY not allow anyone else to ruin her life. The whole sort of Bobbsey Twins, S, B & Chuck tracking down the errant teen was really funny. Best lines " You just hooked yourself a Bass' and " I would lose the tulip'
3) Serena was great here- just being S. Everything falls into line, no real effort spent. She is just all tall and blonde and goddessy. And she totally knew babysitting was completely out of B's comfort zone, but probably thought it would be good for her. I don't like Aarron, but I thought the plot was believable, because he just just the kind of arty poseur that you go out with after you break up with a Dan. The scarf is KILLING me.How many pretentious emo scarfs does this guy own??? I actually thought it was sort of unrealistic for S to come out in her nightie too, but then I realized that even it was longer than EVERY DRESS J has worn for the past two episodes and it didn't seem so awkward.
4) Nate, Nate, Nate... just so goofy. You are like a big good natured Golden Retriever. Thought Dan's over reaction to the kissing was funny. But I did feel bad for Nate- one minute D is all best man-friends with him and suddenly he's out on his ass again. Why doesn't he just go stay with Chuck?? Did he somehow forget how Chuck totally tried to financially bail out his ENTIRE FAMILY? Nate is sort of a holy fool- just wandering through other people's storylines, doing dippy stuff and looking good.
5) Lil J- ... WTF?? Ok, so everything with her fashion show was totally goofy and unrealistic- but I feel like J herself was right on the money. SHE thinks she looks cool with her Joan Jett bleached shag and her raccoon eyes. SHE is positive this is her LAST CHANCE EVER AT 15 to 'break into the fashion scene' ( yeah, because that's when most designers got discovered, right? At 15??) She doesn't want Nate to tell her not to hang out with her cool new friends, but she thinks its sooo dreamy when he smooches her. But then she feels SO BAD about V, whom she has conveniently forgotten a) had a crush on Nate and b)went to bat for her to be able to do her fashion internship and get homeschooled (although we've seen precious little schooling)
6) Rufus is HYSTERICAL in every possible way in this episode!! He alternates between completely ignoring what his kids are up to ( just because you are constantly getting up to make gourmet waffles does NOT mean you are parenting effectively) and then freaking out and cracking down WAAAAY hard when he discovers they've done something he doesn't like. When Dan finds Lil J on the computer at the charity ball and they all go tearing off in the cab, I was like " Ok... she's in a ballroom, in a major hotel, IN PUBLIC, with a bunch of dressed up old rich people. What's the rush?? She isn't in a flophouse or a night club on on the docks... I mean, ok, go get her, but I don't think she's in any immediate DANGER, you know??' Rufus trying to bribe the cab driver gave Dan the best line of his night 'Dad, that's a one' - I really like Penn Badgley's delivery sometimes, very short and to the point. That was great. Rufus trying to get J 'arrested' was also the funniest thing ever. And Lily, with her vast experience with ***ked up teenagers just basically being all calm and elegant and telling Rufus to chill out was great. Also, as someone else pointed out- Jenny's contact info was ALL OVER the Polaroids she left as business cards. Ummm, couldn't the police, you know, TRACK her that way if they really wanted to arrest her?
Everyone ends all pensive. Except Serena- the magic of double stick tape holds her up ( in every possible) way and she is just happy to giggle out on the bed with B and look at the course catalog for Yale. Ok, I didn't go to an Ive League school, but ... was that the crappiest looking course catalog ever? I mean, I know they don't have much of an Arts and Design program there, but surely they would come up with something better than that???
44I want more Dorota!!!
This episode was great! I loved Jenny's takeover of the charity ball and her fashion designs were awesome. I liked what Jenny was wearing too. I was still a little grossed out when she kissed Nate, though.
I couldn't believe that the girl Blair was baby-sitting was 13! She looked more like 15 or 16. I'm glad Chuck didn't sleep with her and that Blair said that her "first time" was with someone she loved. Awww...
Serena's storyline with Aaron Rose is boring. He seems like he has way too many excuses, and he is not even THAT good looking!
I laughed out loud when Rufus handed the cab driver a dollar bill, and Dan said "Dad, that's a $1." Hilarious.
45That girl Jenny is ridiculous, Nice raccoon eyes, I mean what is that all about. Chuck and Blair are really the only reason I watch this show, those two are a treat to watch on screen.
46And why is Serena always dressing like a high class call girl? Not sexy.
