CBS has canceled The Ex List, making it the latest victim in a Fall season that's already claimed Do Not Disturb and Opportunity Knocks. There was a story recently about how networks were picking up shows that normally wouldn't deserve it because of the economy — but apparently that can't save everything.
Some of this Fall's new shows (90210, Fringe, Knight Rider, The Mentalist) have already been given full-season orders, but that leaves a lot of other new shows in limbo. Of them, which do you think will be the next to go?

I love love love it.
I really don't understand the networks sometimes--they need to give shows a chance! I took a communications class in college mainly centered on media and we learned a lot about the ratings system. Even after a semester of this class I STILL don't get it! I just don't see how these ratings are true to a shows popularity. I'm am especially frustrated with this right now because of Pushing Daisies--its critically acclaimed, but just because it doesn't pull a ton of viewers it could get canceled! AHHH!
1I hate to admit it, but Privileged is really cute.

All these shows are so stupid! I picked Kath & Kim, but I think My Own Worst Enemy and Gary Unmarried are right up there.
6I watched the first Kath and Kim and pretty much didn't pay attention b/c it was so boring. So, I picked that one. But I haven't seen a few of these shows, so I can't really judge. The Ex List was borderline porno and this comes from a lover of SATC, so I am not surpised that got axed at all. Esp when it was on CBS, home of geriatric TV.
I will say that I am pleasantly surprised that My Own Worst Enemy is entertaining. It is like a little James Bond film each weak. It is completely unbelievable and rediculous, but in an entertaining way.
I also have started to get attached to Privileged, so I'm hoping it will at least get a full season. But really the storylines are going to have to change. I feel like each week is getting kind of similar. Girls do something crazy, Meghan and her sister fight/makeup/get mad again, Meghan has boy issues.
7I think Kath & Kim has to grow on you. I didn't like the first one, but I kept watching, and it has gotten better.
8i had the highest hopes for kath and kim, but it's really not delivering. i'm one of the biggest fans ever of selma and it's just not doing her justice. i don't know what will be next, but i really hope that privileged stays.

12I would say ANY of those in that list would be cancelled except for Privileged. That's a cute and quirky show and I think as 90210 picks up steam it's going to get more followers. Give the little show a chance!

15And P.S. IMO Knight Rider should NOT have been given an entire season. That is quite possibly the worst show I have ever watched.

I picked Gary Unmarried. I haven't seen it but it looks really stupid. I haven't seen more than on episode of a lot of these shows actually. Aside from Privileged which is so cute! The rest look/are pretty boring and stupid.
18i like kath and kim... it does just take some time to warm up to it. LOVE LOVE LOVE privileged!! save it! gary unmarried is pretty funny as well!
19I wanted Kath and Kim to be hilarious and its just not. I still have yet to finish an episode. I always end up turning it to something else at commercial.

21I have yet to watch any of these shows. Some of them look downright unappealing: Privileged, Gary Unmarried, The Ex List. I've been meaning to watch Kath & Kim but keep forgetting to record it.
Not on the list, but new... I have watched Fringe and think it's corny as all get out. But I can't bring myself to remove it from the DVR yet though...I keep telling myself to give it more chances. Does this show get better?

23Please let it be Kath and Kim! It was so bad I could only watch about two minutes of it...give us smart comedies like the Office please, not trashiness and stupidity.

27I have to stand up for kath and kim here! as a huge fan of the original i had low expectations and really didn't like the first episode BUT i've watched every episode thereafter and have been really enjoying it. I guess it doesn't come off that these characters are supposed to be incredibly tacky and not very smart. The humor is definitely subtle, stick with it and don't cancel kath and kim!!

36I loved the Ex-List, especially the psychic and the best friend (who is also on Dirt). BOOOOO to CBS...every years they pull the plug way too soon on some good shows (The Class, Swingtown, now this!)
37you know what? i liked the premise of the ex-listand the supporting cast - but i was not feeling the main girl - ava from grey's. i just didn't think she carried the show well.. .so for that reason - i'm glad it got cancelled.. maybe they can start over but with a new main girl...
38as for the next to go - i think it's kath and kim.. i haven't watched - and if it wasn't for the comments above - i would have thought that it hadn't even started... oops.
the show i do not want to see go is Privileged... i really like that show -i enjoy that show more than 90210.. if they kept 90210 and they don't keep Privileged - that would suck big time!
I think Kath & Kim is pretty bad...I had such high hopes for it, but it hasn't lived up to them at all.

Kath and Kim has been really disappointing; Life on Mars was nothing new but Privileged has been fantastic. So long as Privileged isn't cancelled, I'm happy. I read on E! How only 13 episodes of Pushing Daisies Season 2 have been produced and it's future may be uncertain; it's quite an eye-opener to see how US TV commissioning works!
43ooh and about Ex-List, I checked out last weeks episode and my initial hunch that Elizabeth Reaser is not yet leading material proved true. she's always been a supporting actress from what I have seen (The Family Stone, Greys) and I didn't think she would be able to pull off the lead in a show. so not disappointed. sorry!

I don't really watch the rest. Um... Knight Rider should definitely NOT have a whole season. That is one of the worst shows ever.
