As was the case with The Haunting in Connecticut, another Halloween-ish movie that comes out next year, we're getting an early, seasonally-fitting look at the next Friday the 13th. The movie opens Feb. 13, 2009 and once again features our hockey masked Jason preying upon unsuspecting young people at the creepy site of Camp Crystal Lake.
The trailer includes a voiceover by Jason's mother, explaining what happened to him at the camp along with some flashes of spooky things.

i used to live in crystal lake, il and always thought the setting of camp crystal lake was funny, lol. this movie will probably suck and do little to no justice of the original. why do movie people always think re-doing a classic is a good idea?

3i'm disappointed that they're doing a remake instead of a REAL 12th movie. i thought that it was always rumored that they would do 13 parts/movies, but making the 12th one a remake that includes parts of the first 3 movies is kinda ridiculous. i didn't really mind the Halloween remake because i liked that they focused more on what made Michael Myers a psycho.
the original movies were so great because they started a genre, i hope they do it justice. i'll still see it.

8OMg this looks soo good. This makes me want to have a marathon of these movies... I don't think I've seen all of them. Horror movies are my absolute favorite genre!!!!
9Damn, this movie again??!!! Wow, Hollywood is really running out of original movie ideas. I'm so sick of these slice and dice movie franchises like Saw, Hostel, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, etc. Whatever happened originality?

I agree Black Velveteen. There is hardly anything new that's good coming out of Hollywood these days.
