Buzz I COMPLETELY agree with you! This drives me crazy! In my college years, and even now, I do not understand why girls use this day to dress as tramps? And, you make a good point--they are sluting up great childhood and memorable characters (even biblical characters!)!

I like to be funny on halloween--last year I was a taco, and this year we are going as a batman group and I chose the riddler. I am making my costume, but I will be decent, and covered, and it will be cute and funny!

I seriously HATE when I see someone in a costume that is "sexy" anything. Last year I was at a party where there was a sexy referee, a sexy witch, a sexy Snow White, a sexy angel, a sexy pirate, etc. I think it takes no imagination to buy a slutty costume out of a bag and throw it on.

This article should have been titled "Sexy Costumes to Avoid". I was misled.

I also COMPLETELY agree w/ you Buzz!!! I would much rather dress up like the original character and not sexify it. But I guess it's like Cady says in Mean Girls, "Halloween is the one night a year when girls can dress like a total slut..."

If you would wear on of these costumes, why the pretense? Just go in a bra and panties and be honest about what you're trying to really wear.

Kind of funny b/c where I live, it's so cold at Halloween. I would freeze in any of these.

We grew up trick or treating wearing sweats under our costumes or coats over them.

I don't see a problem with dressing like this for halloween... but only if you're at a decent age to be wearing things like this... and that the party you're attending has people at the same age level (I'm talking 20-25 or 30). It's obviously not meant for trick-or-treating in your family's neighborhood.

I'm with Purple Damsel02 of this. Me and all my friends dress up like this (we're all 21). Its the only time of the year I dress even remotely close to this and its lots of fun.

Oh my God this is all sooooo true. This is why I don't like Halloween anymore. Aren't us girls already sizing each other up in regular clothes? Do I really need to compete with Sexy Spiderman? Your comments on the photos were hilarious. I hope hope hope hope I see some slutty girl dressed as Robin on Halloween. I want to say your line about the Sexy Robin costume- I will quote it!

I think people have the right to express themselves whenever they like. If some ladies/girls feel that they want to dress up as a "slut" regardless of what type of costume it is, it's up to them. I for one have not dressed up in a childhood character sexy costume, though, I don't doubt that I may in the future. Personally, I think sexy costumes is a great product, I mean, "sex sells."

i forgot to add, there are always extremes in showing what you have... please mind that halloween is catered towards children, so if you don't want your mom to see you dressed that way or you don't want your kids to see you dressed like that, i advise NOT wear it.
