Sure, 17 Again looks an awful lot like Big in reverse (or one half of Freaky Friday), but you know what? The trailer looks really cute. Matthew Perry plays a down-on-his-luck dad who gets the chance to be 17 years old again (this is where Zac Efron comes in). So, he enrolls in his kids' high school and befriends them. He learns that his daughter is dating a nasty boy and tries to give her advice.
The whole cast is super charming, and I'm actually most impressed with Efron who does funny really well — but without trying too hard or making it awkward. 17 Again opens April 17 (nice date/title match-up there). To check out the trailer, read more.

I don't know if I can handle Zac Efron. The whole High School Musical thing has permanently prejudiced me against him.

14This movie has been done so many times before -once with George Burns, once with Keanu Reeves and I thought this one would just be a retread BUT I watched the trailer last night and actually thought it looked good. They added some new original aspects to the movie and lowered the age of the older man.
It looks like the new changes will work, it looks good.

18Was I the only one who caught that weird marketing ploy? It seemed like they wanted to make a romance out of him and his daughter! Creepy! I know he was being protective or whatever but it came off as a rejected jealous kid!

i think that if Zac wasn't in it i would be more excited about it since i LOVE matthew perry but i don't know - i think that i'll probably end up checking it out - probably even when it's in theaters, but i know that i'm going to have my judgments about it because of little efron.

I have a love/hate relationship concerning Zac Efron, I liked him when he was on Summerland and even in that one Lifetime movie he did (before he got his teeth fixed) but when the whole High School Musical madness came out he just became a little twat to me.
I love Matthew Perry and I'm excited to see him in a movie again, so I think that's why I want to see it.
