This week's Heroes starts with Mohinder going on about how "in every journey, the traveler must ask, 'what's the right path taken?'" We get more of the same ol' themes of heroes vs. villains, choosing good over evil, etc. etc. My favorite part of this episode is when Parkman verbally high-fives his turtle.
If you know what I'm talking about and want to chat about it, read more.
- It really was impossible to believe Hiro could have actually killed Ando, and here we find out what really happened: Hiro stops time, goes to a magic shop to grab a collapsing knife and fake blood, returns in time to explain the whole thing to Ando, and the two fake Ando's murder for Daphne and Knox. Hiro tells Daphne he's a villain like her. Daphne tells Hiro to find the "precog," Usutu.
- Claire wants to find Meredith, and Sandra Bennet insists on coming with. "Your father always said, one of us, one of them. I'm the one of us." Eric Doyle's ability truly upsets me. The whole circus theme paired with the loss of free will . . . it makes me nauseous. Meredith says she'll never love him and he insists she will.
- Adam Monroe is brought to Arthur Petrelli who clutches Adam, takes his power, and kills him. And now, Arthur is up and at 'em.
- Parkman, carrying the caged turtle at the airport, asks the turtle to give him a sign. When he sees Daphne he says, "High-five, Turtle." Daphne tells Parkman a bit about Pinehearst, he in turn explains that they are soulmates.
- Nathan and Tracy go to see Mohinder and Tracy shows him her icy power. Mohinder injects them both, talking about how he followed his father's research for years but never got anywhere until he thought for himself. Nathan and Tracy pass out. Later, strapped to a table, Tracy tries to earn Mohinder's trust: "I know what you're thinking. You didn't mean for this to happen. You try to fix it but everything you do just makes it worse." Mohinder responds to this and takes her hand, like a fool, and she freezes his arm. She frees herself and Nathan but then Mohinder throws a table at them.
- Daphne goes to Sylar's cell and tells him that the man she works for likes Sylar the way he is. Aww. She gives him the Pinehearst card and hightails it. I can't decide whether of not to trust this new trying-to-be-different Sylar. His change of heart seems awfully abrupt this season. Clearly, Peter is having similar suspicions.
- Ando and Hiro get to Africa and Hiro goes into Usutu's home, asking for "Mr. African Isaac." Usutu knocks Hiro on the head with a shovel. More than once. So, Hiro decides to do things "the old-fashioned way": hide and wait for him to come back. Usutu finally talks to Hiro and shows him a painting with "the villains you seek" and the Pinehearst helix symbol, and he tells Hiro he can take him to them. There is also a painting of Peter hugging his father.
- Stupid Claire! Ugh. Even Sandra Bennet knows that they need a plan and can't go barging into Doyle's puppet lair. But Claire doesn't even listen, and then she and both her moms are under the control of the creepy puppet guy. I do, however, like that Doyle calls Claire "Barbie." He tries to make Claire kill Meredith but there's no bullet loaded in the gun. Ultimately, he gets the gun in Sandra's hand and she pulls the trigger on Claire, who obviously regenerates and knocks out puppet guy. HRG shows up and praises Claire's actions as "impressive." She just looks at him and walks away. HRG then turns to Meredith and says he could use her help.
- Daphne goes to Mohinder, tells him that her company is already doing what he's trying to do: give people abilities. She says they need his help. "To do what?" She shrugs. "Save the world?" She comes upon Tracy, Nathan and all the nasty slime webs.
- Sylar instructs Peter to look inside Angela's head to find out what's going on, and it kinda seems like Angela punches him with her eyeball, which I think is one of the more entertaining aspects of this episode. Peter draws the Pinehearst symbol. Then Peter beats the snot out of Sylar. "All this power? I'm the most special." He puts Sylar in a coma. He comes upon his father who coaxes Peter into an embrace — and then robs him of all his powers. Not so special now, eh Peter?
- Aww, Daphne and Parkman want to save each other from Pinehearst. Parkman insists he can protect her, but Daphne says simply, "No. you can't."

This was my favorite episode this season.
1Probably because Hiro had a lot of screentime and he remains my favorite character. "Mr. African Iassac"...hilarious. He's my little cartoon character. And Matt was so cute with Daphne.
I'm SICK of this badass Claire bull-ish. She really doesn't acti it well.
I kind of feel bad for Peter, but I'm pretty sure he's going to get his powers back since Future Peter still had powers. Although I guess it's possible that that future doesn't exist because of all the stuff going on. I loved Parkman and turtles high five too. So what is Mohinder doing to Tracy and Nathan? Like testing on them? I really don't like him, never really did, but I still feel like all of this power tripping of his was weird and out of chracter. But I loved all the Hiro/Ando scenes. And I sort of felt bad for Adam Monroe even though he was a jerk to Hiro.
2And fear smelling guy is super annoying. When he sniffs I just laugh.
DAMN I miseed it...will have to watch at lunch online
And I agree with treb. Hayden's acting abilitie are so limited....booo for badass Claire..it annoying.
3Can I just say how much I love Sylar. He's definitely the most interesting character b/c you never know what he's going to do; stay good, or go back to being bad. Peter and Claire annoy the CRAP out of me. They just keep making the stupidest decisions!
4not a fan of knox, maury and DEFINITELY mohinder (i wish mohinder would die already). i'm interested in where they're going with sylar... but the whole future saga is kinda tiring, didn't we see this in season 1? and by the way, whatever happened to the irish chick peter was in love with? did they forget to wrap up that story too? *rolls eyes*
i'm a bit upset about killing off monroe though. was hoping he would redeem himself in the present and go more with his story. instead, we get these new lame characters. and eric doyle really really upset me too.
5Sylers abrubt change, isnt all that surprising. In the beginning, with his adopted Mom he was actually a sweet meek guy, Gabriel, but then his power took him over just like it is doing to Peter...who is also having an abrubt change for the worse.
6Seriously. What was the point of bring Monroe into the third season just to kill him off? They could have written some other way for evil Mr. Patrelli to gain powers.
7And I have to post again to say it's these inconsistencies that are starting to annoy me. I feel like there are WAY too many loose ends to tie up and they're losing sight of a good story line.
8my favorite part
MR. AFRICAN ISAAC
I didn't knew what happened next I was lmao
9still, in her dream, Mrs. Petrelli sees Adam Monroe, so, maybe he's coming back.
10Treb, in order for Arthur to be healed, He would HAVE to absorb the power of someone who does, and the two we know of? Adam and Claire. goodbye adam. Its not inconsistent.
11I'm hoping that since Adam Monroe just had his energy or life force or something drained out of him he will REGENERATE from the pile of dust. He's fun! I'll be really bummed if they just killed him off like that. Also, he seems to know everyone and what's going on. If my calculations are correct- he is also the ancestor of Arthur, passing along his ability gene to Claire down the line.
Ok, let's see:
1) Again- when will we realize that trying to keep Claire normal NOT WORKING. Although I sort of dug it- like, here's Claire, trying to be all bad-ass and go get the bad guy- and her MOM insists on driving her there. With her PURSE. Just like when you wanted to go to the mall and your mom insisted on coming along. Too funny. And I sort of dug the 'Charlie's Angels' vibe with Claire and her Two Mommies. My BF and I both decided though that that Marionette guy will be forever typecast as a pervert/serial killer. I mean, hello- does Clair's mom not know that children are AFRAID of clowns? He totally knew she was lying with the whole birthday party scam.
2)Peter ( both present and future) has been a real snot lately, so I sort of didn't mind his comeuppence. And now Syler will have to go rescue him, which is funny. I don't think Arthur is Syler's dad, do you?? I think Mama Pertrelli went trolling outside of the family gene pool for him. Wonder who his real daddy is? I bet we find out eventually.
3)Please let Adam Monroe regenerate!!!Please!
4)Parkman was more entertaining than he has been... well, almost ever. And his interplay with Daphne was actually really good. Although, now, can't he just say " Hey, if the company ever wants you to go to Chula Vista, SAY NO, ok honey?"
But they're sweet and the turtle is growing on me.
5)Mohinder- what the ??? I think it's funny how Tracy is all worried and law-abiding compared to her earlier siblings. She and Nathan are just not cut out for this. And Mohinder-m join the Dark Side much?? I never thought I's miss Maya, but... Mohinder turning into Lizard Man ( and pulling up his cuffs every 5 minutes to remind us) is not that exciting.
6)Ando and Hiro were precious this episode. Really, even though it was total slapstick and I saw it coming a mile away, I LOVED the bit with the shovel. And Daphne being all like " You aren't really supposed to be a bad guy!" with Hiro was also nice and made me like her more.
7) When Peter and Syler are having their thing in the secret paper plant location, where the heck is everyone??? I mean, once Mama P was out for the count, did everyone else just take a day off from their secret jobs?
12Yea reesiekitty, I was wondering where all of the guards were too. They're supposed to be keeping all of these baddies away from everyone but they don't make it too difficult for these people to escape? Anyways, I loved the high five turtle, it was cute and I totally loved it when Hiro got hit in the head the second time, it was so funny.
13adam is dead. He turned to dust because arthur took his power, therefore adam reverted to his original age of 500...which is dust.
14Oh and I'm curious what Pinehurst has on Daphne that's keeping her with them when she's obviously conflicted. Maybe a family member?
15I love the show! I love the good Sylar, and I love that Milo Ventimiglia has more screen time, but I don't want to see Peter as a villain! He always had a good heart and noble intentions.
16yeah... i'm giving this show about 2 more episodes before i quit. i want it to be good, but it's disappointing me
17The things that makes this show different from others are the unpredictable, maddening turn of events and questions! You never get to find out any answers, only more questions. That is the entire point of the story, so you'll loose yourself in the story line. It's so complicated, it makes your head spin. But is always relaxing at the end of the day.
18Caterpillar Girl...the writers can write anything they want. that isn't the ONLY possible way for him to be healed. You know, since it's all made up and not a true story and all...
19I really liked this show its first season. Now....it's just a waste of my time and I feel like it's going nowhere. Sorry!
20I loved parkman's hi five!! haahha so funny! and agree with the other commenters re: snotty peter...now lets see how/if he gets back to the old peter that we love!
21umm i think Hiro is just getting annoying. i don't think he is that strong of a character anymore.
22new favorite: DAPHNE! she is awesomeee!
and i can't believe Peter doesn't have powers anymore =[
i really hope he gets them back soon
Aw, I loved the turtle high five. I totally cracked up when I saw Parkman coming down the escalator with the turtle's cage.
Also, I love this show, and I'll stick with it, but my lord some of these people are stupid - Mohinder taking Tracy's hand, Clair deciding she needs to talk to puppet guy before shooting him (hello? ask questions later!), Peter running off half cocked to Pinehearst - do none of them think?! The BF pointed out that he doesn't even feel bad for some of them anymore when they get in trouble, and I'm inclined to agree.
I kind of hope the Puppet Master is gone for a while. He truly truly truly creeped me out, and not in a fun way. Ewwwwwwwwwww.
23I agree Treb. It's made up, go with it. I liked this episode and this season is getting better... I mean no West or whatever his name was.
24Hiro must be the most stupid superhero ever.
25I can't believe poor little peter has been stripped of his powers!! But I suppose it's for the best...he needs to get off his high horse and return to the good side he's always been fighting for.
26I love Gabriel, he is much hotter than Sylar IMO
And Eric Doyle creeps the sh*t out of me - talk about my worst nightmare.
I'm kind of getting sick of this show. I pvr it and force myself to watch it at some point later in the week. I agree there are soooo many questions and I've already forgotten things that have happened in the other seasons. What happened to Nathan's family (wife and kids) How long has Petrelli Dad been out of the picture?
Mohinder is annoying and gross with those wounds on his arms and back... ugh...
27I'm gonna die if peter doesnt get his powers bak!!!!!!!! but i think he will coz everytime in the future he always has a scar and i think he gets it after he looses his abilities (so he can regenerate) and then he gets em bak and mayb he keeps it there as a reminder, plus he always has powers in the future!! i want the old peter bak!!! miss him soo much!!!!! love him love heroes!
