If the photo below were a Caption It contest based on this weekend's box office results, my entry would go something like: "Well Leo, there's no easy way to say this so I'm just going to come out with it. We got beat by the little talking dogs. Beat bad."

That's right, Disney's Beverly Hills Chihuahua was No. 1 for the second weekend in a row followed by the horror flick Quarantine. Ridley Scott's Body of Lies, which came in third, was expected to do much better "based on its star power alone" but the combination of mediocre reviews and the fact that audiences continue to eschew Iraq War-related movies probably worked against a successful opening weekend. Eagle Eye and Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist rounded out the top five respectively.
The new sports film The Express came in at No. 6 followed by Nights in Rodanthe, Appaloosa, The Duchess, and City of Ember at No. 10.

you know why it did bad? We have seen "this" movie before, Russel and Leo in "these" roles before....so we dont want to watch it again.
1Wow Russel looks fat.
I saw Quarantine. A lot of people were saying that BHC did so well because people bought tickets for it and snuck into Quarantine.
2Beverly Hills Chihuahua at #1 again? That's obnoxious.
3i'm still baffled by how well the BH movie is doing, but i guess that it would be more embarrassing to be leo and russell right about now. there was so much promotion and hype behind this one that you would have thought that more people would go to check it out, but to me, i had no desire to see it or anything else that's really out at the moment.
4joke.
5I think it's awesome that BHC is doing so well!
As far as Body of Lies goes- sadly Russell
Crowe is no longer a huge draw any more. The book was great, but the movie looks like crap.
6I wanna see the duchess, seems to be a great movie,But Chihuahua!!! common!, that movie is kinda chessy !! :S
7It was really cute! I have a Chihuahua and I saw it with my partner and his parents and we all really enjoyed it.
