Isla Fisher has been very busy lately. After starring in the quiet thriller The Lookout this spring, she worked on three comedies: In Wedding Daze (which has also been called The Pleasure of Your Company and The Next Girl I See), she marries a stranger (Jason Biggs), while Hot Rod finds her hopping on a dirt bike opposite Andy Samberg. She also stars in Definitely, Maybe alongside Ryan Reynolds.
Now, according to Hollywood Reporter, Fisher has signed on to star in The Cookie Queen:
The story follows Claire "Cookie" Taylor (Fisher), who holds the record for all-time girl scout cookie sales. When she learns that a precocious fifth grader threatens to end her 20-year reign as cookie queen, she sets out to sabotage her.
This news is awesome. The plot reminds me of comedies that are usually reserved for Will Ferrell and his dude buddies, but now Isla gets to play the central role instead of the kooky hot girl. Or rather, I guess she's now playing the "cookie" hot girl. Ha! (No, this entire post was not written for the express purpose of using that pun.)

I love Isla Fisher, she's adorable.
1Does this mean she's not pregnant then?
swswonder, if she just signed on for the role, it's possible the movie isnt' going into production until after she has the baby. Sometimes they get attached to projets long before they go before the cameras. So I think she could be pregnant and still do this, although I can't confirm the pregnancy since I don't know her!
2I loved her in the wedding crashers, I'm sure she'll do great
3haha Marci, that makes sense, thank you.
4It sounds like a funny movie. I like Isla. And who knows, maybe this movie can make Girl Scout Cookies available year round (doubtful, but hey, I can dream)!
5I love Isla. The movie sounds hilarious.
6Lucky, I want to work along side Ryan Reynolds!!
7I want to see this.
