Sometimes, I think network programmers manage to pair shows together perfectly (can't really argue with Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill). Other times, not so much (what do Knight Rider, random reality shows, and Lipstick Jungle have in common?). In this age of DVRs, I spend a lot of time thinking about how I'd rearrange the week if I could just create my own custom programming lineup.
So today, I wanted to pass that challenge on to you. What shows would you pair together if you could pick and choose anything you wanted from the lineup? Dramas, comedies, network and cable shows — anything's fair game. The only rule is that together, they should total three hours (the standard length of a network primetime programming block) or less.
I'll start you out with one of my current favorites: I dream of the TV happiness that would come from watching Greek followed by Privileged, moving into Samantha Who? and capping things off with How I Met Your Mother. What's your ideal night of TV?

Firetrap
Drykorn
Swildens
Two and a half Men, The Mentalist, Chuck, and (of course) The Office!
1I used to love it when Grey's Anatomy was on Sundays following Desperate Housewives. My friends and I used to watch together.
2How about...
Samantha Who?
3How I Met Your Mother
Pushing Daisies
If they don't have to be from the same channel-
4Heroes
Mad Men
Pushing Daisies and The Office if there's a fourth show.
every Monday night: Gossip Girl -> Heroes -> One Tree Hill and if i had enough time i would follow it up with Chuck and How I Met Your Mother. loll my Monday night TV list is longer than some people's weekly TV list. oh and i also watch Samantha Who?and Hills which is on Monday nights too. hahahah
5Greek, The Office, Gossip Girl then How I Met Your Mother!
Best lineup I've ever seen.
6Mine would be Gossip Girl - Privileged - Hills - The Office (or Chuck)
7Gossip Girl
8The Office
Ghost Hunters on SciFi (I'm obsessed with this show)
Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy, Lost. I think ABC had ir igth.
9Big Bang Theory, The Office, Friday Night Lights, Gossip Girl
10The Office, 30 Rock, Grey's, Lost. Thursdays, I guess. If it all started at 8. I could do without Ugly Betty. Sorry, guys...
11How I Met Your Mother, 30 Rock, Greek, Dirty Sexy Money
But if I could make it an all nighter I would throw in Gossip Girl and Privileged!
12How I met your Mother
The Big Bang Theory
Pushing Daisies
The New adventures of Old Christine
and of course "The Office"
13gossip girl
14greys anatomy
smallville
House, Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy on one night; Mad Men, The Office, and Friday Night Lights on a second one.
15gossip girl, samantha who?, and how i met your mother... tonight!!
16well i like how 90210 is paired with Priviledged, but i think that something else needs to make me tune into Greys since it's not doing a decent job stand alone. i feel like maybe LJ should be on cause that's a must watch for me. i used to like when Grey's was on sundays, and i def tune in for Brothers and Sisters so they should swap out desperate housewives for Greys.
17House > Heroes > Lost would be a perfect night. Ugly Betty, Project Runway/Top Chef, 30 Rock and the Office would be another great night.
And the Fox Sunday night lineup is already good.
18Lipstick Jungle
House
The Hills
Weeds
and I'd throw in an extra half-hour to wrap up my tv bliss with Californication
19There seems to be too many good shows on Mondays, and not enough to watch for me on Tuesdays so this is how I would arrange my schedule if I could:
Sundays: The Amazing Race (flip to Extreme Makeover Home Edition on commercials), Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy*
Mondays: Gossip Girl (flip to How I met your Mother on commercials), One Tree Hill, The Hills (the same, basically), and maybe Californication at 10:30?
Tuesdays: America's Next Top Model* and 90210
Wednesdays: Pushing Daisies, Ugly Betty, Project Runway
Thursdays: Lost, maybe True Blood?(need to find better shows to watch on this night)
20Can it be TV that isn't exactly new? I am really not up on any of the new shows...
Ok, here goes:
Friends
21Reba
Still Standing
The Bill Engvall Show
Home Improvement
lost - lost - and lost. ok. ok....How I Met Your Mother, The New Adventures of Old Christine, The Office, 30 Rock, then CHUCK!
22CSI:Crime Scene Investigation (No Miami or NY, please), Lost, and a special hour long episode of The Office.
If I can't have a hour long episode I'd gladly substitute it for a unsual half an hour episode then probably How I Met Your Mother.
23No! Wait! Friends!!! If I can have that instead of How I Met Your Mother, I'm one happy girl.
24Pushing Daisies, 30 Rock, Greek, How I Met Your Mother.
And I want Scrubs back.
25The Girls Next Door, Samantha Who?, Gossip Girl, Priveleged, Pushing Daisies, ET, and Nightline.
26Oh + Weeds would be the perfect night!
27My ideal night of TV would start off with Gossip Girl, move on to Privileged, then finish with Pushing Daisies. But I watch way too much TV so one night doesn't cut it
. Night number two would start with Samantha Who? first, then 30 Rock followed by Chuck, and
finish it all off with Supernatural.
28Dancing with the Stars - to start the night out on a peppy note
29Grey's Anatomy
Project Runway
Brother's and Sisters
Rachel Zoe - end it with great fashion and laughs
HIMYM
Pushing Daisies
The Office
Bones
Or...
Buffy
Pushing Daisies
How I Met Your Mother
You didn't say they had to be new on-air
Maybe Dollhouse will be really good and I can fill the night with that.
I'm about to give up on Heroes. I greatly prefer HIMYM to Chuck (even though that show is way cute). I tested it out this week and I watched Big Bang and HIMYM and didn't miss Chuck. I'm done with House and anything else I watch is pretty much for background noise. Most of the stuff I watch I have to catch online anyhow 'cause I'm never around when anything I like is airing and I refuse to pay for tivo, even though it's nice. I'm a single gal, do I look like I'm made of money?
30HIMYM, Samantha Who, Gossip Girl, followed by LOST half the year, and Bones the other half
31true blood (2 episodes), house, fringe, 24, lost, worst week, gossip girl, new adventures of old christine.
32I think I'd go with Chuck, Gossip Girl, 90210, Ugly Betty, and then wrap it up with Lipstick Jungle
33The Office, HIMYM, Privileged, Pushing Daisies (for TV night # 1)
Top Model, GG, and Heroes (for TV night #2)
34Gossip Girl, Grey's, and The Ex List (not that great, but totally mindless entertainment, like a palate cleanser after Grey's).
