I've been curious for a while now to see NBC's Kath and Kim, an adaptation of an Australian comedy series about a dysfunctional mother and daughter starring Molly Shannon and Selma Blair. I thought the first clips were pretty hilarious, but the show's switched directors since then, and the tone of the premiere episode is pretty different from what I was expecting.
You'll get to see it for yourself tonight at 8:30 p.m., and I'm wondering if it's one you're planning to check out — or one you'll skip altogether. Since this is the first time I've done a Watch, Pass, TiVo, or Rent poll for TV, a quick definition of terms: "Watch" means you're rushing home tonight to watch it, "Pass" is pretty self-explanatory, "TiVo" means you'll record it and maybe watch it later, and "Rent" means that you'd consider picking up the DVDs sometime down the line. So, have at it! Where does Kath and Kim fall for you?

I wish I still had a DVR or tivo, I dont even have cable, but I think I will actually manipulate the ole bunny ears so I can catch this one
1Watch! This show looks hilarious AND i love Selma Blair! Can't wait
2I'm interested in this one. I will watch, I don't rent or buy dvds from tv shows unless I know I like them.
3I'm interested but I think I'll just TiVo it and watch it when I have time.
4I'll be recording it. Some of the reviews are really negative, but I'm still interested.
5I voted tive but buzz...you should have another option on the TV polls for "watch online". I don't have a tivo, and i watch anything i am not rushing home for online at my convenience, usually on friday nights when i am in or sundays.
6cravin — haha, this is getting to be a way less catchy title!
Actually, I'm
thinking that for TV, "TiVo" will also mean "watch online" from here on out, the same way that we made "TiVo" also mean "watch on TV later" for movies. Does that work?
7I read a review online and it really bashed the show, but I think I'm still going to check it out and decide for myself. I really like Molly Shannon and Selma Blair, so I have high hopes for the show.
8I love Selma Blair!
9I have my Tivo all set!
Thanks Buzz! hahaha, i LOVE how almost every show is online now. I don't know what it does for their ratings, but it does loads for my ability to watch what I want to regardless fo station and time! woohoo!
10I will Tivo it...gotta watch Ugly Betty.
11I have already have it setup in my Tivo...I got class tonight but I will watch when I get home.
12This looks beyond stupid.
13i've been waiting for this show to come on for AGES - ever since i heard that selma was coming back to TV so i can't wait to watch it tonight. i think that it's going to be a bit easy to watch since the content isn't that riveting, but it's going to be funny with the rest of the cast i think.
14I've been curious about this, so I'll be watching it.
15For those of you who have On Demand it is already available under the NBC section (at least w/ my cable). So, I guess I already did the equivalent of TiVo and watched it there. I have to say I was NOT impressed. The only funny moments were the ones in the trailer. Very disappointing.
16The commercials for this seemed so boring, that I don't care to see it at all!
17Pass- I downloaded the pilot from Amazon Unbox and it was god awful.
18buzz - you need to get with the times. Watch ONLINE should be an option
19The pilot has been free on iTunes for the last week. It was okay...Selma was cute
20I'll probably watch it when Ugly Betty goes to commercials - I don't have Tivo, otherwise I would record it.
