Good news for "Studio 60" fans: The show will return to the air May 24 at 10 p.m., according to the show's Web site.
May 24 is after the crucial sweeps period ends, so this could be another sign that NBC doesn't have a lot of confidence in the show going forward. It's also odd that NBC's only comment so far is that one tiny line on the Web site. But I'm glad that if the show is ending, it will at least get to go out on TV — unlike other canceled shows this year, which got shoved online. Six more episodes of "Studio 60" were produced, and I hope they all make it on the air.
I wonder if NBC now regrets its decision to pull "Studio 60" back in February after just 16 episodes. "The Black Donnellys" didn't do any better in "Studio 60"'s time slot and got canned itself, and the premiere of "The Real Wedding Crashers" this week was hardly a blockbuster. Do you think NBC should have stuck with "Studio 60" from the start?

It's about effing time! Black Donnelly's did not do anything for me. It's some interesting BS fed to us by NBC, saying that they valued the demographic Studio 60... was created for.
1I'll say it's about damn time! The Black Donnelly's was lame. If NBC valued the demographic Studio 60 was created for, then they wouldn't have pulled this BS in the first place...and a lameass replacement show like The Black Donnelly's would never exist. NBC should've stuck with Studio 60 from the start, what the hell were these idiots thinking by pulling this stunt?!
2However, with the cancellation of The Black Donnelly's come and gone, I hope this means that Studio 60 is safe for now. Maybe next year it might go to a different time slot if they give a go ahead for the next season.
3yay yay yay!!! i was so mad they took it off the air. i hate it that people just couldnt get the genius of sorkin
4Yippeee! I loved this show and can't wait for it to come back.
Black Donnelly's stunk it up!~
5I didn't think it was coming back!
6I am so thrilled that NBC is going to give this show another chance. I too read all the BS about NBC deciding to keep the show because the demographic that DID watch the show was college educated and making over $100K a year.
I absolutely loved this show. It was the only show I made a point of watching and not Tivo'ing. Studio 60's timeslot could change from Monday nights at 10:00pm to help it out, although, I enjoy its existing timeslot, which gives me something to look forward to on blah Monday's besides Monday Night Football.
I love the cast. I miss them and think of them often. Matthew Perry, Sarah Paulson, and the rest are fantastic. NBC should give this show a hearty chance. The show is funny, fast paced brilliance. I don't know about you, but I am sick of the reality shows. I want to immerse myself in the world of some funny interesting people for an hour at night.
I have a feeling this show is going to end up being the HIT is was meant to be after all. I am thrilled with this news and I am hopeful for the shows future.
7Hope: Oh ye of little faith. lol j/k
