The Fall of 2007 came in with great fanfare in the TV world, only to be squashed just weeks later by the writers' strike. For this Fall, some networks focused on "relaunching" those shows cut short because of the strike: Chuck and Life on NBC, and Pushing Daisies, Private Practice, and Dirty Sexy Money on ABC. (Though it's now in its third season, Heroes probably falls into this category, too.)
The good news: Many of those shows might not have gotten renewed without the writers' strike. But the bad news has been coming in droves ever since, with many of these shows finishing last in their time slots and hitting series lows. In fact, not a single one has broken 10 million viewers yet — Heroes included.
A lot of longtime returning shows are down a little this year, too, but not this dramatically. So I'm wondering: Have you dropped any of the "relaunched" shows from your TV lineup? Have you replaced them with anything? And why do you think viewers aren't coming back for this "re-freshman class"?

Still watching Pushing Daisies religiously, and I plan on keeping up with Heroes as long as it doesn't get any lamer (a la last season). Those are the only two of these that I watched last season, though I do plan to start watching Dirty Sexy Money once I get caught up on DVD.
1Still in love with PD! I think Heroes is dying. I hope it picks up. If it doesn't in the next few eps, you can probably count me out.
2I dropped Heroes a few episodes into last season.
3I'm dropping Dirty Sexy Money, but then I only watched one episode... Still counts right?
4I gave up on Private Practice before the writer's strike, but as far as the rest of them I'm still watching. I did find myself pretty lost in the beginning of Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money episodes last week- it's been too long!
5Oh I forgot about Private Practice. I gave up on that 3 eps. into the first season.
6i gave up on dirty sexy money and chuck. neither of them were bad per say, i just don't care enough about them to keep watching. i'd like to start watching pushing daisies though, my sister won't stop talking about it lol.
7I didn't give up on Chuck or Life, but I gave up on Heroes early last season. How can a show that started out so well, get so boring so fast?
8I dropped a lot. Heroes - I still DVR but have yet to watch. Last year was just such a disappointment. Dropped Chuck. Still watch Private Practice. Grey's isn't as watch or die as it was previously. I'm still addicted to Bones and Criminal minds though. And I completely gave up on CSI and CSI:Miami. I still may watch NY.
9I gave up on Private Practice. I really wanted to like the characters, but they were all annoying. I was excited about Life, because of Damian Lewis, but his character was not appealing to me, I could not finish the entire episode. I'm a true blue Pushing Daisies fan, it's still fresh as ever!
10I kind of gave up on Heroes. It just no longer held my interest last season. I loved Chuck and Pushing Daisies, so I've hung on to those. They don't disappoint
11I gave up almost all of these shows, Heroes included. I watched the season premiere of Heroes and realized that I didn't really like it all that much anymore. The strike sort of cured me of a lot of my TV addiction! My only "must-watch" shows now are Ugly Betty, The Office, Grey's Anatomy and Brothers and Sisters. I figure I can get caught up eventually when they come out on DVD...and I have a lot more free time!
12Heroes I've been watching--though it has yet to grab my full attention. For example, right now. It's on, and yet I really have no idea what's going on. For some reason my cluelessness doesn't bother me.
I think it's time to quit you, Heroes.
13I dropped Chuck. I just found it pretty boring.
14I still say Cashmere Mafia got jipped because of the strike, and having a 7 episode Heroes season gave it kind of a rushed feeling, so everything is really slow this season.
15I'm still in love with Chuck. I will be so sad if it's cancelled.
16LOVE Chuck and Pushing Daisies. I'm done with Heroes - doesn't hold my interest anymore. and I'm not the only one, a few of mmy friends have said the same thing.
17to be honest, i never got into Heroes even with all the hype and i don't think that i could now. i tried to watch private practice and i've seen a couple of them, but i can't get into that one either. i guess that timing IS everything huh?
18I LOVE Pushing Daisies and I try to watch it, but America's Next Top Model is on at the same time. I watch Private Practice online if I get bored, but none of the characters are that appealing. I tried out a couple episodes of Chuck last season, but it was sooo boring. I watched the first season of Heroes and a couple episodes of the second season but then I dropped it and I've never watched it again. I wasn't a huge fan in the first place though. The only TV shows that I actually think have improved this season is Gossip Girl, because I'm much more into it now than I used to be.
My must-see TV:
(my guilty pleasure, even
though it sucks)
19Monday - Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, The Hills
Tuesday - 90210 (still lukewarm about it)
Wednesday - America's Next Top Model, Pushing Daisies, Project Runway
Thursday - Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy
I am done with Private Practice. I am still watching Heroes though. I think it is more interesting this year.
20I may be in the minority here, but I think Heroes is back BIG TIME. I was right up there with people about nearing hatred for it last season, but it has really gotten better. If you gave up on it last year maybe you should think about catching an episode this season
21i don't watch chuck anymore...
22I love Pushing Dasies! I stopped watching Top Model cause it was in the same time slot. I was done with Heroes and private practice last season.
23I dropped Private practice, should have really dropped it last season. It was never very good.
24I'm still watching heroes, but not really that into it anymore. At least this season some of the annoying characters are not getting that much (or any time yet).
One show I do enjoy is The Sarah Conner Chronicles.
Have never seen Pushing Daisies, maybe I should give it a try.
I gave up Dirty Sexy Money some time in the first season. Just wasn't for me I guess.
25I dropped Project Runway and Desperate Housewives. For the latter, I found the plot rather stupid and it just became more and more about sex.
26I only watch private practice, dirty sexy money, and grey's anatomy. I will check out life on mars though, and try to get back to boston legal.
BTW to all of you DSM fans...was Wednesday's season opener awesome or what? I thought that was one of the best season premiers I have seen!
27I'm keeping with the same shows I watched last year. I'm not ready to break up with them
28Oh, but I have picked up Fringe, True Blood, and I'm really interest in the US version of Life on Mars!!! BBC America had a mini-marathon of the UK Version...very intriguing.
29I've given up on most shows as I haven't been watching much tv this year. When I do happen to catch an episode, they aren't locking me in to make sure I'm back the following week.
30I have an uncommitted relationship with a number of shows. Many of them just can't seem to close the deal. We might date casually, but very few shows have my home digits.
I've become desensitized to the idea that they could be canceled at any moment, or booted off the air until further notice -- now they have to work even *harder* to earn my devoted allegiance. Maybe it's a defense mechanism, OR maybe it's the result of schizoid programming run amok.
With the availability of DVR, pulse-quickening anticipation for real-time airing has become more scarce. My heart doesn't go beaty-beat at 8 pm (or 9 or 10) very often anymore. Although, with DVR skips and tweaks, I *do* watch my most valued shows in real-time out of concern that the technology will flake and falter.
31Grey's Anatomy has never been so boring imo.
32I'm still watching Heroes and I actually started watching Chuck this season.
33Private Practice = jokefest though.
I don't know if Prison Break counts, but I have all but written it off.
34i dropped Heroes ! maybe i'll catch up next year.
35I have a class this semester that meets from 6-8pm on Wednesdays! I hate missing Pushing Daisies, but I'm going to try to remember to watch it online.
36I haven't dropped anything yet...but we'll see. It's still early. My favourite right now is Life. I think it's a really well down show that is unforunately probably underated, and doesn't have the numbers it needs.
37I loved Heroes last season and couldn't wait to watch. Sadly I think Heroes and I are breaking up this season as I haven't caught a single episode and don't really want to. Too many characters and too many stories are making it hard to watch.
38I'm still into Heroes and I absolutely LOVE Life. Damian is so quirky and funny, I love it!
39I broke up with Pushing Daisies about three episodes in last season. And, after three episodes of Heroes borefest, I think we're done.
40I love watching Chuck, it's hilarious but I've stopped watching Heroes. It's on the DVR but I never end up watching and it gets deleted after my fiance watches it.
41I LOVE Pushing Daisies.
5 minutes into last weeks episode I dumped Heroes and never looked back. I have stuck with it through the entire crappy season 2, but this new storyline with Sylar just being a sheep to Mrs. Petrelli has done it for me. I'm done with the show, and will just pretend that it ended at the end of the very fantastic season 1.
42Never got into Private Practice or Life, myself. Chuck lost interest for me after the first few episodes (and I only watched it a couple times after that with my roommate, who still tunes in for it). Heroes lost me last season, and despite people saying it's going uphill, I don't think I'll be going back to it. Pushing Daisies, however.
43I haven't stopped watching any shows but me and Gossip Girl have some problems now that it is against Chuck. Heroes is about dead to me if it doesn't pick up soon we are so over. Ugly Betty and I are struggling. It just seems that all my favorite shows are boring me. Pushing Daisies, Fringe, and Chuck are the only ones delivery right now. I can't wait for spring TV when Lost comes back and Dollhouse begins.
44Heroes lost me after a couple episodes last season and I don't miss it. I won't bother to take the time to get caught up. I stopped watching Grey's last season too. I never got into Chuck or Pushing Daisies - although I'd like to give Daisies a try. I think it's hard to get back into new shows after such a long break, and people got out of the habit of being addicted to a show and realized that they could survive without it and now there isn't much enticement to go back.
45I've broken up with Heroes, but remain devoted to Chuck. Private Practice is on probation.
46Private Practice was horrible. Almost unwatchable. So we're probably done. I might give it one more week. I also wasn't digging Dirty Sexy Money, but I was never very into that show.
Pushing Daisies came back stronger than before and I think Heroes is back to the way it was season one. Gossip Girl is just okay. It is chatty and the clothes are fun, but that's about it.
47Oooo I also love Chuck, but that is the one I fear for most. I really think it would have been cancelled last fall if not for the strike.
48I stopped watching heroes about 6 episodes in - I found it way to hard to keep up and I would have to rewatch episodes to figure out what the heck is going on. I have wanted to start watching Dirty Sexy Money but I think I am pretty overbooked on the TV show front - My tivo has been getting pretty angry when I try to tape DWTS, Biggest Loser and Fringe all at the same time!
49DH and I are completely obsessed with Pushing Daisies, we got season 1 on DVD as soon as it came out! I have broken up with the Office though. I didn't have a TV during the last season and watching episodes online just didn't keep my interest (unlike Pushing Daisies).
