I'm embarrassed to admit that I've never seen Shaun of the Dead, because after merely watching the trailer for Hot Fuzz, I'm ready to declare filmmakers Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright two of Britain's most valuable exports. In their new comedy, which hits theaters this Friday, April 20, Wright (who also directed the best fake trailer in Grindhouse) and Pegg are lampooning an oft-ridiculed world — small-town cops — with wholly original humor.

Pegg plays a London police officer who is so good at his job that his colleagues resent him, so he's shipped off to the virtually crime-free village of Sandford and paired with a bumbling partner (Nick Frost). Not surprisingly, it turns out there might be more afoot in Sandford then expected. The movie also co-stars a roster of talented Brits, including Bill Nighy and Steve Coogan. But really, you should just watch the trailer and have a laugh, so read more

I loved Shaun of the Dead! I actually saw a commercial for Hot Fuzz last night and it looked great as well. Gotta love that British humor. Or humour.
1Don't was absolutely the best trailer... this movie isn't coming to our theater for some time
Pretty bummed about that, but I'm thinkin' a Spaced marathon and some Shaun should hold me over...
PS: Did you catch Pegg and Frost in "Don't" I totally missed them the first time through...
2Love British humor. Hot Fuzz looks like fun!
3Just saw "Shaun" last weekend, I was laughing so hard when they were throwing the records (I won't spoil anything) that I had tears streaming down my face. I'll have to check this one out, I think the boyfriend is going this weekend, I may have to as well.
4This film is hilarious, I loved it. Gotta love Simon Pegg.
5I'm totally looking forward to Hot Fuzz! I love Shaun of the Dead.
6i saw this movie about a month ago, it was soo funny! i liked it way more than shaun of the dead. this one has some great action scenes, and crazy twists and turn throughout! i highly recomend it!
7I am SOOOO looking forward to this film. I heart Simon Pegg and love Shaun of the dead. I was laughing so hard at the film I think people thought I was crazy.
Janners I love "Spaced!" For those who don't know, it's a british show from around 2000. It's about a guy (Pegg) and a gal who are both looking for a flat, they find the perfect place, but it's for professional couples only, and the catch, these two just met. They pretend to be a couple, move in and hilarity ensues, most mostly because it's mostly just about the weird stuff that happens in the show and the bajillion and a half pop-culture references. For example they're talking about scooby doo, the camera pans out and you realize OMG they've actually been dressed like scooby doo characters this entire time. If you can find it, I would highly recommend it.
8These guys are great! Shaun of the Dead is one of my favorites and I can't wait for this film to come out!!
9I loved 'Spaced' too. Anything with Simon and Jessica rates highly in my opinion.
10A good film to watch with Jessica Stevenson in (Simon's Spaced co-star and friend) is 'Confetti', ties in with Wedding season too.
Just saw it last weekend- was a great film but one that those who have seen "Shaun" would probably appreciate more (I just recently have seen it myself). Highly recommended if you want a good laugh out loud movie.
