Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill suited up Tuesday night for the LA premiere of 21 Jump Street. The onscreen police partners have become close off-set as well, and Channing was happy to talk about how likable Jonah is — hear our red carpet interview with the stars in PopSugar Rush.
Jonah and Channing Ditch Their Cop Uniforms For Suits at the 21 Jump Street Premiere
Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum were back in LA last night for the big premiere of 21 Jump Street. The pair made a quick trip from Austin, TX, yesterday to make it to the red carpet after debuting the comedy at SXSW on Monday. The costars have been showing up to many of their recent press appearances in the bike-cop uniforms they wear in the film. Yesterday, however, they told us they decided to show some respect for the big occasion and wear suits instead so that their parents — who were in attendance — wouldn't get mad at them. In addition to his mother and father, Channing also had his wife Jenna Dewan by his side. She chose a short, white dress, and while Channing did press, she posed for a round of pictures with Jonah.
Jonah and Channing might have been the men of the hour, but their costars in the big-screen reboot of the TV series, among them Ice Cube, Ellie Kemper, Rob Riggle, and Brie Larson, also turned out to support the film. Some original 21 Jump Street alums, including Holly Robinson, also came out to see how Jonah and the directors re-imagined their show. The film features a few notable appearances from stars of the TV series like Holly and Johnny Depp, whose appearance was kept under wraps until recently. Stay tuned for today's PopSugar Rush to catch our interview with Jonah and Channing and find out what they had to say about a potential sequel and to the trait they admire the most about one another.
Ice Cube Would Give Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill an "F" Ranking as Employees
Ice Cube plays Channing Tatum and Ice Cube's boss in Friday's 21 Jump Street, and we caught up with the rapper-slash-actor at their recent junket in NYC. Ice Cube talked about the good times he spent on the set with Channing and Jonah, though he jokes that both actors would receive Fs for their work as cops. Ice recounted telling Channing and Jonah "war stories" from his old days with NWA, and spoke about where he'd go undercover if he had the chance. Check out our interview to find out what Ice Cube's pick would be.
Channing and Jonah Crack Up and Party at SXSW For 21 Jump Street
Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill took their 21 Jump Street to the SXSW festival in Austin yesterday. The guys threw on their cop uniforms for an afternoon Q&A with their costars Rob Riggle and Dave Franco, and continued wearing the getups for a p.m. premiere and afterparty. Channing made the rounds with his wife Jenna Dewan. In our recent interview with the stars, Channing said he loves Jonah more than any other previous costar, except of course Jenna, who was his leading lady in Step Up. Reviews for 21 Jump Street so far are amazing, and we'll see if it's able to top reigning box office champ The Lorax this weekend.
Rob Riggle Would Like to Go Undercover Where His Wife Hangs Out
Rob Riggle has the pleasure of starring opposite Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill in Friday's 21 Jump Street. He plays a gym teacher mentoring their characters, who are undercover as high school students. We asked Rob where he'd sneak in, if he could, and chatted about the fun of making the film with Channing and Jonah in New Orleans. Rob has another idea about an '80s series ripe for a comeback — and his pick may surprise you.

Channing and Jonah Team Up For a Wild Week of Parties and Press
21 Jump Street costars Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill teamed up over the weekend for their latest leg of promotional appearances. By Saturday morning, the guys were back in NYC ready for another day of interviews. Channing and Jonah, both dressed in their police uniforms, sat down with us and chatted about their hilarious buddy cop comedy — stay tuned for our exclusive video later this week! 21 Jump Street Trailer: Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum Go Undercover
The '80s series 21 Jump Street may have been a crime drama, but the big-screen version is most definitely a comedy — and a buddy comedy at that. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum play a pair of former high school rivals who become best buds during their police training. Life in the force isn't as badass as they were expecting, though — until they get called in to revive "an undercover police program from the '80s," in a very obvious nod to the original series. The guys are pulled back into the throes of high school, with a mission to bring down the dealers of the hottest new drug in town.
Hill is as hilarious as ever, and Tatum seems to be his perfect comedic foil — their background as the former high school bully and nerd is a nice touch. The film is also peppered with some of my favorite funny people, like Parks and Recreation's Nick Offerman, Rob Riggle, and Ellie Kemper from The Office. The film hits theaters next March, but watch the guys party with the best of 'em when you read more
Channing Tatum Has Jonah Hill , Not Johnny Depp, on Set
Channing Tatum got into uniform while filming 21 Jump Street in New Orleans yesterday. He's worked on the big-screen project for the last few months, and shared his most recent scene with costar Jonah Hill. Channing and Jonah welcomed another actor to the set recently when Johnny Depp stopped by to shoot his cameo. Johnny was in the original TV series nearly two decades ago, and made time for the part despite being busy promoting Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Channing's wife, Jenna Dewan, has visited him on location while she waits to see if her series, The Playboy Club, makes it onto NBC's Fall lineup. The couple's schedule will fill up even more if Channing commits to another role that harkens back to his racier, younger days as a male exotic dancer — he's rumored to be playing a stripper in Steven Soderbergh's Magic Mike.
