Last week when I tried out my version of Do, Dump or Marry, Team member luckyme suggested having a TV option in addition to "Watch," "Pass" or "Rent." I like that idea a lot, seeing as there are plenty of movies I wouldn't ever rent, but will probably watch on TV if I happen upon it. Hence, the TiVo option, which doesn't necessarily mean you'd TiVo it (though it could; I often TiVo movies), but includes catching the movie on TBS or something someday (having "Watch on TV" as an option would make the title so cumbersome!).
This week's movie in question: the Nicholas Sparks weepie Nights in Rodanthe starring Richard Gere and Diane Lane.

I didn't know what to vote for... since I have not seen it yet!!!
1If this movie had come out 10 years age, I would have went to the movies to see it, but now....I can wait.
2i mostly just want the soundtrack to this movie.
3Pass!
4I absolutely adore Diane Lane! I don't care if it's Judge Dredd or Unfaithful, I will watch her in anything! I look forward to seeing this movie.
5Not my kind of movie... and I HATE Nicholas Sparks crap.
6Amen HeidiMD!
7we pay so much for our on demand and dvr and mega movie channels that I try to only go see something i think looks like it would be better to see on a bigger screen due to action or scenery or some such thing
8pass....i have absolutely NO desire to see this movie. it's a sparks flick so everyone should know that someone will more than likely die at the end of it..
9rent.
looks cheesy.
but it does have james franco, lol. so thats why i say rent.
my mom would've loved this movie though. she's a richard gere fan.
10I feel like I've seen all the appealing bits of the story there are just from the commercials. I really can't see there being much more to it.
11My friend and I were just talking about this today - she wants to see it and I told her she was crazy. I don't really want to see Richard Gere/Diane Lane post-coitus.
12I was just thinking about this yesterday. I'll rent it. I love Diane and James, but sappy romances aren't really my thing- especially not a Nicolas Sparks one!
13californiagirl- That's exactly what happened to me! My friend was like, "but WHY!!!" (She knows I can't tolerate too much romance.)
14i like romantic movies like this but i have to say that if i miss it i'm not going to cry. as much as i love gere and lane, i think that i'll have to wait until it's on TV for me to watch it since i'm not sure that i care enough to pay to see it.
15I will probably rent. I did love this book so I hope they didn't ruin it.
16Pass Pass Pass and then Pass some more, I cant stand Nicholas Sparks, Richard "gerbil hiney" Gere or Diane "no longer cherry" Lane. This movie is for the poor saps who want their romance spoon fed to them by weeping men and premenopausal women
17Diane Lane is awesome. I want to see this, but doubt I will be rushing to the theatre.
18And Gavin Rossdale does music for it!
Diane Lane, oh how I love thee.
If I get word of passes lying around, I'm going.
19They were great in Unfaithful. But, I dislike going to movies alone.....not one person I know will go to see it.....ha! I guess I'll rent it whenever.
20I'm a sucker for Nicholas Sparks. His books are sappy, but I love , love stories.
21I have read the book and enjoyed it, but sparks stories are getting too predictable and have the same base plot in almost every book! I would prob watch this if it was on, but won't make an effort to see. The books are almost always better than the movie (yes even the notebook!)
22Pass!!!! Nicholas Sparks is the sappiest schlock ever.
23looks soooo goopy...
24Pass pass pass. I caught this at a screening and it was so terribly bad. Come on Diane. The way marketing twisted critics' quotes to make it seem like they were stoked wasn't cool either. Check it - http://www.gelfmagazine.com/archives/an_unfortunate_title_if_ever_there_....
25That is an interesting article, but hardly the actress's fault.
