On the rare occasions that I actually notice a Nickelback song playing — you know, like, "what is that mediocre rumbling sound? Oh, it's Nickelback" — I'm struck by how utterly indistinguishable one hit is from the next. (Who, exactly, are the fans fueling these hits? I have no idea, but that's a perplexing matter for another day.)
Anyway, there's a good reason I can't tell Nickelback's songs apart. The geniuses over at The Webshite have posted two of the band's big hits — 2001's "How You Remind Me" and "Someday" off 2003's The Long Road — so that one song plays through the right speaker and the other through the left. Normally, it would be irritating to have two different songs playing in my headphones, except, well, these aren't really two different songs. Listen at your own risk.

I have hated them since day one. I knew all their songs sounded similar but that is uncanny. They have the SAME drum beats everything! They slow down at the exact same time. Its amazing how dumb people are sometimes... scratch that... people are dumb all the time.
9There's something to be said about manufacturing what the masses will like. I just wish they didn't have to use music as a medium for consumerism.

12I like Nickelback, they're sing'a'long able. But, you can totally hear the similarity, "how you remind me" is only two beats up tempo compared to "someday".

i never knew people hated them so much...i just thought so much of today's music is manufactured variety that they weren't any worse/different. catchy songs!
19I don't hate them, I have some of their music, but it's true that 90% of their songs sound just alike. I went to my volume control panel and was switching between speakers and it was crazy how similar they are.

Where is this "fact" proven? and just because you have an opinion different than buzz's doesn't make buzz "worthless critics," just FYI. the songs are pretty much identical, and maybe some people enjoy bands that create new and interesting songs. nothing worthless about that, I don't think.
