Jeremy Piven just stopped by the press room to talk about the Emmy he won for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Entourage. This was Piven's third win in the category, and he said this one was "more shocking than the first two."
"I do believe the show is getting better," Piven said. "I think that's the brilliance of HBO, is that they stick with their shows, and this show has come to find its voice in the fifth season. The characters are getting more intricate . . . It's just a blessing to get to play this character."
And he said he doesn't see Entourage winding down anytime soon: "When I first heard of the show I thought, 'This premise is so fertile' — I mean, we all have jobs because people are curious about the backstage life of entertainment, of Hollywood. I was on the Larry Sanders Show for a few years. That show could still be running. I think this show could continue on — we have so many brilliant actors in this town."

I think it should have went to Rainn Wilson. Sorry.
1i think that it's humbling for him to still be shocked for his win - it's impressive to me cause although the show had some less than stellar moments last season, he's still got GREAT material and it's nice to be recognized for it. with his comment about the show not winding down anytime soon - i hope that means that they will develop the characters more to give them more longevity
2Ugh...so sick of him! I used to love Piven, but he's been almost unbearable for the past couple of years.
3I was happy and sad at the same for him winning- I wanted Rainn Wilson to win, but I do think Piven owns that show- it's weird he's considered supporting bc to me he is the show and the other 3 are just sort of boring pretty faces . . . I'm still torn . . .
4Piven was BORN to play the role of Ari Gold. He is so entertaining, and so natural at being a jacka//. I was happy he won.
5Wantonwren - it's not almost, he HAS been unbearable!! (I thought Sandro Oh looked great that night!)
