Wow. Um. Just. . . wow. There was a pretty cute montage of various actors saying famous TV quotes, followed by Oprah giving a speech and then the five hosts in tuxedos came onstage to say — in, apparently, all sincerity — that they have nothing planned for the introduction. And then William Shatner went up onstage to help Tom Bergeron rip off Heidi Klum's clothes (what?) to reveal a black sequined little number. And . . . scene.

What did you think of this year's intro?

Awful.
1the montage of actors was good, and oprah's speech was fine but wtf were the five hosts doing? it was so random and pretty much stupid.

3It was okay, the babbling just got out of hand, I thought it was going to take forever. I was sitting in the living room and I was like, (think Chandler Bing) "Can this get any more uncomfortable?"
4SOOO BORING.
5No one hosts an award show like Billy Crystal.
6The intro was sooooo boring.
7eh - it was so so - certainly not one of the all time best intros that's for sure.
8Montage as good, but that's it. I don't care for Oprah so I muted her speech. (Sorry...she bugs me.) I really hope they don't continue the trend of using the nominated Reality Show Hosts for every Emmy show. I'll need to stop watching! I was embarassed for all 5 of them. The Emmys needs someone with lots of energy and spark to keep everyone interested for 2 hours.
9I agree wantonwren...I dislike Oprah as well and left the room when she came on. My only regret is that I came back on once the "hosts" came on. That was the worst intro of any awards show ever...
10HORRIFIC. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. HORRIFIC.
