"Grey's Anatomy" returns with new episodes on April 19, but after Meredith's brush with death and George and Izzie's hookup, many die-hard fans, including myself, are starting to lose patience with the show. How are you feeling about "Grey's"?

im frusterated but hanging in there just incase it turns around!!
1It's too good a show to give up on just yet, although I am frustrated. Also frustrated with the mid-season hiatus! ack!
2I am not sure that this show was ever as good as people thought it was. It is okay and the characters are cute, but really, it is as if a spell was cast over the viewing public. It it had been a great series, it would have been cancelled immediately.
3too many repeats already!!!
4The only thing I can say is that the show is certainly getting emotions of the viewers going and that's usually a sign of a good something - when it affects people like it is. Although, I am almost fed up. Especially with the hiatus, too. Clip show? BO-ring.
5I really haven't been watching after it ended up that Meredith didn't die. Not that I wanted her to, but everything else just seemed so forced. I still want to know what happens, but if I miss an episode, I'm not upset or anything...
6I really never got interested in the show like some people do. I have my own favorite shows.
7My problems with Grey's are multiplying rapidly to the point where I may not watch it anymore. The whole set-up is increasingly hard for me to take. This is the world's longest intern YEAR - there is no way all of this stuff has happened in one year. Plus the crazy medical cases, the completely implausible way the clinic opened, the fact that only surgeons (hello!) are working in the clinic, the amazing healing powers of not one, but two major characters having brain tumors... I can only suspend my knowledge of reality so much.
On top of that, the producers are so smug thinking they're making some groundbreaking show that throws all the rules out the window and they just aren't. This is a classic, high drama, everyone sleeps with everyone, unrealistic medical show. Nothing new here.
And Pompeo isn't terribly likable.
8i've got to agree with kscincotta about the producer / writer stuff. i don't think any parts of this season were "groundbreaking." it's said they're making it so difficult for us loyal viewers. remember the times we were so excited to watch on sundays/ thursdays? what happened to that?
but i do have to say, i'm not sure they ever put a time stamp on the shows... so I don't think everything has been happening in the span of a year. plus dr. bailey had a baby... so that accounts for 9 months right?
9said = sad. i meant sad.
10Yeah, I can't stand Pompeo, either.
I'm still hoping the show will turn around. I think that stunt with the ferry and Meredith almost dying might might have been the show's demise, though. It was just way too much.
11Kscin said it best.
Im kinda over the show, but will still watch unless it becomes hopelessly stupid (aka if George and Izzy get together, which lets face it, wont happen this season if at all).
And Pompeo makes me want to hurl.
12Was never into it!
13While they've never formally said that it's only been a year, the premise of the show is that they are interns, just out of medical school. Following graduation, your first year is spent as an intern where you are the lowest on the food chain at the hospital. After that year, you graduate to being a resident, which may or may not be at the same hospital. On the show, they are still referred to as interns and they still report to Bailey, their resident. Hence, it has been less than one year.
And Bailey's pregnancy is just another one of those things that makes the show so hard to believe.
14To be completely honest, I never liked Meredith at the start. She's whiney and self centered. Plus as I've said somewwhere else before, the dialogue between Mer/Der bores me to TEARS. The whole show is unbelievable. Where would you find that many attractive doctors willing to sleep with each other in one hospital? Plus, you've got to admit it seriously (yeah i said it) jumped the shark with the whole Meredith near death experience thing. But to be fair, there are certain other medical dramas (House) that aren't completely realistic. Although Hugh Laurie's performance is much more enjoyable than anything Grey's has produced this season.
Booyaka!
15I hated the whole Izzy/George thing.
Alex and Addison have become my favorite characters.
Alex's dedication to the Jane Doe is a side-story, but much better to me than the main story lines such as Izzy/George, Race for the Chief, etc.

Couldn't agree with you all more. I was a huge fan towards the end of last season, partly because I LOVED Denny. This season has been awful. Meredith is as whiny as ever, and I really don't care about her and Derek or Christina and Burke. The people that make the show watchable (George, Callie, Izzy, Chief, Bailey, Addison, etc.) are having less of a role each week. Plus, when did it become the norm to have several month+ long hiatus in the middle of the season? I think they will find a largely diminished audience when it returns.
17blogsap, you are so right when you say the excited anticipation for the next show is mostly gone. The three ferry boat episodes were disasters (no pun intended, really) for me; I almost quit watching after that, but didn't. I'm frustrated with the writing but am still hooked; I keep watching, hoping that a turning point will come and the show will get back on track.
18I am pretty much over it. NOT over McSteamy though!!
19I am over it, but was over it some time ago. What keeps me watching is Cristina, Mark (hot hot) and the hope he will eventually end up with Adison.
iMac...Kisses
20Lost interest a loooong time ago.
21I was never into it in the first place. *shrug*
22I tried watching it but the show didn't really appeal to me. Virtually everyone I know LOVES it, including my entire women's studies class. It's insane.
23I am totally fed up with EVERY other week being a repeat! What happened to shows actually having a season where they show all new shows, then have a summer break? Seems like there are never new episodes on and this show is the worst!
I also agree that too much has happened in one year! While it is believable that Bailey wouldn't have shared her pregnancy until 4-5 months in, which means she could have only been pregnant for 4-5 months *in show time* there seems to be too much for one year! I mean, 3 season = One year?
I hope they come around and make it the good ole' GA it used to be!
24I'm a little confused but I've got confidence in Shonda Rimes. Let me tell you though, I am ready for some new eps any time here. I think there is a chance for them to pick it up.
25not crazy about the izzie george thing, that was lazy writing... but I'm excited to see how everything plays out
26the first two seasons were amazing and the start of this season was pretty good. i lovedddd the ferry boat episodes, though. but now...im just sick of all of it - the hookups, the boring episodes. they need something exciting but im sticking around just to see what happens
27i'm sick of the reruns for the last few weeks...
28I liked the first season but then I was soo over Grey's Anatomy when the other seasons came. Not really my kind of show. No offense to others who like the show...I find the show annoying.
29I'm frustrated. The writing has gotten so predictible. I don't know about everyone else, but I saw George/Izzy coming from a mile away. I love the Alex/Jane Doe storyline, but I see them falling for each other and then her long lost husband and little son/daughter showing up.
30I can't be over something I was never into to begin with!
31I used to love this show but haven't watched it in weeks. It has been so stupid lately.
32wow alot of haters/ppl who dont watch anymore here!!! im shocked!!!
33i still love the show and think its the best ever!
ill never be over it!!!
i like it, i'm not as head-over-heels for it as i used to be. it's still taking a downward spiral that is slower than desperate housewives, though. DH got old FAST.
34i just saw grey's is NOT new this week... i may have to change my vote.
35I'M OVER IT
36I never did watch it but a few times.
37grey's is my favourite TV show
38Kinda but I still love it!
39Although last season's end let me wanting more...
I was over it a loooooooooooooooong time ago
40I'm nearing the end of my tolerance with this show... Used tp be my fav... Now not so much... Its lost its appeal to me... Loved the second season... Wit denny and all that stuff... Ah well lets hope they can turn it round...
41It's too painful to watch since the middle of Season3. I'm crossing over to the spin-off.
42I still love Grey's! although i was disappointed that meredith and derek were not as exciting of a couple as they were in the first season.. But Meredith is still my favorite character. Izzie and george are kinda cute as couple even though i loved denny! but nothing shonda ever weites will make me hate the best show ever!!
