I recently came to the realization that my version of the Do, Dump, or Marry? game would be to ask if you would watch a movie in the theater, pass it over altogether, or rent it in the future. And TV-wise, would you watch a show in real time, pass altogether, or TiVo it? So, let's give this a shot with the upcoming comedy starring Ricky Gervais: Ghost Town.
On the one hand, any fan of Ricky Gervais will probably see this in the theater. Then again, it's sort of a mild-looking comedy that could maybe just go on the Netflix queue in a few months. Or, perhaps you have zero interest at all.
Let's put it to a vote: Watch, pass, or rent?

You should have one more option: catch it on TV.
This is one that I probably wouldn't go out of my way to see, but if it was on TV (commercial breaks, or not), I might watch it.
1I find that if I can't go to see it on the night it opens then I just never get around to seeing it in the theater . . . and I already have plans this Friday. Translation: if the previews aren't enough to make me change my plans and purchase tickets a week ahead of time on fandango, then it automatically falls into the rent/wait for it to come on HBO category.
2If the commercials bore me to death...than i will skip it.
3Oh, and for the TV show option, we rent A LOT of tv shows that we just don't have time to catch during the regular season. We also don't pay for HBO, so we rent all of those too.
4I saw a preview of this movie a couple of weeks ago, I originally was not that interested in it and was thinking of just putting it in my Netflix queue, but since the preview was free why not right? I was very very pleasantly surprised at how good the film was, you will be laughing the entire way through it. If you need a good lighthearted laugh, I say go see it, you'll enjoy yourself - I sure did!
5Maybe rent... but Greg Kinear really annoys my boyfriend, so maybe not.
6i will be renting this. i think it looks pretty funny, but i don't watch many things in the theatre.
7Rent, only because I love the actors but the movie itself only looks so-so. (summerteeth, aren't you allowed to rent and watch movies without your boyfriend?)
8Netflix
9I tend to only watch the movies you HAVE to see in the theatre at the theatre. High school kids have pretty much ruined the enjoyment for me. I rent most movies and I'm sure I'll rent this one.
10i really want to see it ! Ricky Gervais is hilarious.
11I like Ricky Gervais, but this movie looks subpar to me, so I will probably be able to hold out for netflixing it.
12I love this version of Do, Dump, Marry.
13I am excited for this movie. I love Ricky Gervais!
I love Ricky Gervais, but I think I'll Netflix this one.
14Great poll! I keep laughing at the previews for this but it's hard to imagine really motivating myself to go to it.
15pass
16I like Ricky, so I'd give it a chance *only* once it has premiered on a premium cable channel.
17honestly, i've seen the commericals for this movie and as much as i want to like it- i'm just not getting into it so i think that i'll have to pass. it seems like it's missing the funny elements that it would need to be successful and i don't know if it's from the trailer that i'm not getting it or if it's the movie as a whole..ya know?
18I just went to see this today. I had seen the previews and judging from them i figured it would be pretty lame but a friend and I were going to the movies and I checked out the reviews for movies playing right now and this one was the highest rated of our choices so we gave it a shot. It was really funny! The preview did not do this film justice. The beginning was a bit dry but once Tea Leoni showed up it was hilarious! I highly recommend seeing it.
