Black or White
Release date: Jan. 30

The director, Mike Binder, was inspired to write the film based on his own life. He and his family took in his biracial nephew after the child's mother, Binder's sister-in-law, died. The movie changes quite a bit (Costner's character's wife dies, and there's a massive legal battle over the child), but the roots are based in truth.
