2010 Fall Movie Preview

I was admittedly skeptical when I heard that Gwyneth Paltrow would be portraying a country singer in Country Strong, but after listening to the first single, I'm changing my tune a little. Paltrow stars as Kelly Canter, a music star on her way out of fame; Garrett Hedlund is the young guy on the rise. When they combine forces, sparks fly — much to the dislike of Kelly's husband/manager (Tim McGraw). Leighton Meester also stars as a beauty queen turned singer, so I'll guess we'll see her take a turn at the mic as well. Between this and Burlesque, this Fall has its share of musical films. See how this one fares on Dec. 22.
