I have to admit: My enthusiasm for "Dancing With the Stars" has been dampened now that the very charming Paulina Porizkova was eliminated. But the show is still going strong in the ratings. Are you guys watching this season?

1Emmitt Smith couldn't even draw my attention last year
This seems like a show I should love, since I actually really like ballroom dancing, but I watched it once or twice and I just couldn't get past the judges fawning all over the celebs who really aren't all the great. Even the best celebs look sloppy, and sloppy dancers really bug me.
Plus, a huge wild card in the whole thing is who you get paired with, since clearly some of the pros are better both on the dance floor and in training/choreographing than others (see Cheryl Burke winning twice in a row). And the male celebs have it much easier since the job of the male in ballroom is to show off the female (see three of the last four finalists have been guys). If you have an awesome female partner, then you already have a leg up.

5I'm SO glad this show is finally getting some attention on here. Isn't this the first time it's been mentioned? This is always my favorite show when its seasons air. Everything (yes, even House) gets bumped down the list and the phone gets turned off when this show comes on. Well, except for when I have to use it to vote for my favorites.
I was so sad to see Paulina go.

8This show lost its appeal ever since I watched "So You Think You Can Dance?" That show is so much more entertaining and puts this one to shame.
9I like Shandi, really enjoy watching her on Playmania/Quiznation at night on GSN but she really needs to loosen up and let her personality shine. She's too stiff and for those of us who watch her live we know she needs to let go and be herself.
