The CW is having some fun with today's date, premiering its new version of 90210 with a two-hour premiere tonight, Sept. 2 — you know, 9-02.
Now, if they really wanted to have fun with it, they'd save the show for a couple of years so it could premiere on 9-02-10. It really couldn't be more appropriate than that — especially because 90208 isn't even a real Zip code! But since that's highly unlikely at this point, I figure we might as well have a little bit of fun with the date, too. So, tell me, where does your excitement for the show fall on the 9-2-1-0 scale?

if i could know the exact time to tune in to see brenda and kelly's first meeting/appearence i would watch that part only! otherwise i don't really care!
1i'm sure it's going to be HORRIBLE... but i'll still be watching!
2i really want it to be good.
but i dont know, i just have a feeling its going to suck and be the same old thing. you know? like we already have a billion tv shows about rich kids at the moment and frankly im over it. except for gossip girl, i think ill always like that show : )
3angelina, I have to say that's what worries me too. I'm VERY excited for the show, but I'm also afraid I'm going to be sadly disappointed and tonights ep will be the only one I watch.
4Yeah I can't think of anything they can do to make this show more original. I am excited to see Kelly and Brenda!
5I'm excited to see if this new show is going to suck or if it is going to be "Must-See TV." I have a feeling it will be one or the other. And I can't wait to see Shannen and Jennie! I mean, Brenda and Kelly
6I never liked the original series, so I'm sure I'd hate this one.
7I want to check out at least the first episode but i don't expect it to be very good.
8Never cared for the original so I doubt this one will pique my interest either.
9I *might* check it out, but it's not likely. I doubt this would be a show I'd watch, anyway. I saw a strange promotion for 90210 this weekend: a plane was skywriting a message about watching the series premiere above Santa Monica. But it was using dots like a dot matrix printer instead of using old-fashioned plumes of smoke or whatever it is. One or two words after writing "90210" in the sky, the numbers were completely illegible. It was strange that they went to all the expense of sky writing but the message lasted only a matter of seconds!
10I heard Shannon is only in 4 episodes.. ugh why not more!!!
Im not sure if I'll care about the new cast.. they aren't even that hot.. least on Gossip Girl we have some hotties..
I'll watch it though.. I use to LOVE and LIVE that show!
11i am stoked! i cant wait to hear a 90210 with real music and real drama. not cheesey 90's music like the old 90210 and plots that really were not all that exciting
12I have actually decided to give 90210-redux a chance, and that's ONLY because I'm going to support Tristan Wilds (The Wire) and Rob Estes (hello, Silk Stalkings!!!!)
13I am more interested in the adults of this show...
14I am more interested in the adults of this show...
15Loved the EW cover story with Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth. However, I just have no desire to watch this at all. I can only handle one teen show and I'm already set with Gossip Girl.
16i was really excited for the longest time about this show but with all the talk and hype - i had to really start to turn a deaf ear - cause it was too much. i'm starting to get more into it though - just so i can see how brenda and kelly relate to each other and what the deal is with kelly having a 4 year old son that's dylans..
17Since there is nothing new on I might try to see Shannon and Jennee
18I would love it if it were good ... but something tells me it'll suck. hard. but I'll keep it in my DVR list just in case I'm wrong.
19I hope it's good, because there needs to be a good Tuesday night show. LOL How sad is that? If I get a chance to watch, it's nice to have 1 show on I like each night (including the weekends) so that I'm not just having to sit and watch drivel. But, like so many have said, I'm not holding my breath. The original was spectacular. This one will have a lot of work to meet up to those standards, which is what most of us old timers are looking for.
And I'm with Lauren G, I'm more interested in the adults and their storylines than these new kids. LOL
20I'm gonna see it! Hopefully it's good.
21it was awful!! I will never get those two hours back!! NEVER!!
22I disagree. I loved it! I want them to do more focus on the grownups, though.
23Had no interest in either show, new or old, I'm afraid. I was more of an X-Files/Twin Peaks type kid.
24Jenna, I so agreed! I just wonder how long it will take the "cindy and jim walsh" couple to split up? I hope that they leave that ONE nuclear family in tact, like they did on the original. Every show needs a "Grounded" couple.
25OMG! I can't even begin to explain how long I have been counting down for this show! It was so awesome and I think it was just as good as the original. Loved, LOVED, LOVED the cast and plots that are stirring up!
