Admittedly, I was thrilled to read Entertainment Weekly's dishy interview with Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth about their reunion on the set of the new 90210. It's a great flashback to the love triangles and backbiting of the earlier series, and it helps explain why the two of them have decided to reunite on the new show.
But it also got me thinking again: Is it a bad thing that when 90210 lands on the cover of EW, it's because of its old cast members and not its new ones? I actually asked executive producer Gabe Sachs about that back at TCA, and he said they'd take publicity any way they could get it, even if it came in the form of buzz about the old cast. That will work for a while, I'm sure — but can it turn the series into a hit?
What do you think? If you're planning to watch 90210, are you watching for the new folks or for the vintage flashbacks?

6I'm disinterested in the show. I used to be a fan back in the day. I'm just not interested anymore.
7I want to see both. I want to see what the old characters of 90210 are up to these days, and what the new cast members have to offer.
8it's definitely the old cast that has me most interested. i think that the new cast will be 'ok' but it's more about kally/brenda and what their relationship will be like this time around vs. the new cast. i just think that sometimes you just need to let things 'die' when they are still on top, and i'm not sure that bringing 90210 back in a new form will work out. we'll see - it's just a few more days.
9I am more excited for the older cast members. I think i will be dissapointed though, bc I doubt they will be on it very much. Aren't they just guest stars?
10also- shanae grimes is ewww skinny... back in the day, the girls from 90210 look liked girls, not boys.
11I was slightly too young to watch the original, so no nostalgia here. I feel like 90210 was already redone in the OC, so this is jsut that all over again.
