Jessica Simpson's gone country, y'all! As her debut country album careens toward a record store near you (check it out officially Sept. 9), we've heard some previews already — but now here's our first listen to Simpson's duet with Dolly Parton on the album's title track, "Do You Know?"
There is no question how deep my love for Dolly runs, and in my opinion, her small parts on this duet outshine Simpson's vocals by about a mile. And as Idolator points out, if you listen to the lyrics closely, you realize they're singing about some pretty sexy times to each other, so that's a strange visual. Anyway, let's put it to a vote!

1Love Dolly, but this is not so good. I am, however, getting a kick out of the homosexual undertones.
2I love Dolly too and that is the only reason I listened to this song. I have never liked Jessica Simpson's voice or style and I don't like them on this song either.
Maybe I would like this song better if it were just Dolly's sweet voice or like Idolator said...a Dolly/Kenny Rogers duet. Not only is Simpson's voice distubing on this, but so are the visuals the lyrics conjure up

9I thought it was just meh. At first, Jessica's voice sounded good but the lyrics leave something to be desired. And it does sound like a lesbian love song, even though that's probably not the way it's intended to be.
10i'm not much of a fan of either - so i think that it just needs to go away entirely. i think that jess is making a good go at being a country star - and we'll have to see how her album does when it comes out. other than that - i'm choosing not to comment

13What a dull song. Why does Jessica Simpson think yelling is a form of country singing?! Nothing about her new disc impresses me. I was waiting for something cool, and I'm disappointed. It sounds like everything she's ever done! Stupid lyrics over boring beats...blah!!!

16I think this song could have been great if it were sung by someone other than Jessica Simpson. I love the harmonies and I love Dolly, and even though I'm a little weirded out by the blatant sexuality, it's just Jessica's voice that really gets to me.

20Wait its hard to type w/ my ears bleeding! If this is the "big" song of the cd then it is going to suck! Even Dolly can't save this song. When this cd fails maybe Messica can try out for the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders oh what that takes talent too!

Soaring midtempo "Remember That," lamenting power ballad "Still Don't Stop Me" and the title track, which features Dolly Parton, are all prime contenders.
