Jessica Simpson's gone country, y'all! As her debut country album careens toward a record store near you (check it out officially Sept. 9), we've heard some previews already — but now here's our first listen to Simpson's duet with Dolly Parton on the album's title track, "Do You Know?"
There is no question how deep my love for Dolly runs, and in my opinion, her small parts on this duet outshine Simpson's vocals by about a mile. And as Idolator points out, if you listen to the lyrics closely, you realize they're singing about some pretty sexy times to each other, so that's a strange visual. Anyway, let's put it to a vote!

Not feeling this song at all.
1Love Dolly, but this is not so good. I am, however, getting a kick out of the homosexual undertones.
2I love Dolly too and that is the only reason I listened to this song. I have never liked Jessica Simpson's voice or style and I don't like them on this song either.
Maybe I would like this song better if it were just Dolly's sweet voice or like Idolator said...a Dolly/Kenny Rogers duet. Not only is Simpson's voice distubing on this, but so are the visuals the lyrics conjure up
3i cant understand a word jessica sings....is it just me?
I said leave it. it sucks.
4i thought i was going to hate it - i hated jessicas last song. but its not bad!
5I didn't think it was that bad, but bizarre for them to be singing the lyrics together
6Neither hate not love it. Definitely not a favorite.
7they are both awful in so many ways.
8Jessica is not my favorite vocalist. The way she moves her mouth when she performs is so distracting that it's all I can think about when I hear her sing!
9I thought it was just meh. At first, Jessica's voice sounded good but the lyrics leave something to be desired. And it does sound like a lesbian love song, even though that's probably not the way it's intended to be.
10i'm not much of a fan of either - so i think that it just needs to go away entirely. i think that jess is making a good go at being a country star - and we'll have to see how her album does when it comes out. other than that - i'm choosing not to comment
11hmmmm borrrrrrrrrring... Joe Simpson sucks. Just wanted to throw that out there!
12its ok. like the Dolly parts
13What a dull song. Why does Jessica Simpson think yelling is a form of country singing?! Nothing about her new disc impresses me. I was waiting for something cool, and I'm disappointed. It sounds like everything she's ever done! Stupid lyrics over boring beats...blah!!!
Poor Dolly! I love Dolly Parton, but this song...¡no más no!. I agree with Idolator one hundred and fifty-six percent!
14love Dolly! Jessica cant sing and still sounds poppy, she will ruin country!
15Don't like this one. Worse than Come On Over. I have listened to her country album and there are way more better songs than this one. Sorry, not even Dolly can save this song.
16I think this song could have been great if it were sung by someone other than Jessica Simpson. I love the harmonies and I love Dolly, and even though I'm a little weirded out by the blatant sexuality, it's just Jessica's voice that really gets to me.
And Audrey1974, you're so right - why does she think shouting is singing??
17Love Dolly. Hate Jessica.
18Don't insult Dolly's legacy of talent with that no-talent media hussy... the only thing she should play, J.S. that is...is possum.
19I love DOlly Parton and always have, Jessica will probaly be a good singer also. BBBBBUUUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTTT this song just doesn't cut it, Jessica is with Tony Roma and Dolly'd husband is Carl Dean, so what in tarnations is Dolly and Jessica singing about each other for, this is just bad for everyone around. Paprazzi heaven, OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
20Wait its hard to type w/ my ears bleeding! If this is the "big" song of the cd then it is going to suck! Even Dolly can't save this song. When this cd fails maybe Messica can try out for the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders oh what that takes talent too!
21After she scored nine pop hits between 1999 and 2006, top 40 radio gave Jessica Simpson the heave-ho. Now the singer has shifted formats to country, which she insists is an organic fit, given her Texas roots -- not to mention her film role as Daisy Duke in 2005's "The Dukes of Hazzard." Full-length foray "Do You Know" is a credible transition, beginning with No. 18 launch single "Come On Over," which convinced programmers that there's twang in Simpson's torch. She aligns with Grammy Award-winning producers Brett James -- an ideal fit via collaborations with Martina McBride and Carrie Underwood -- and John Shanks, who has worked with, well, everyone. Despite detractors, Simpson remains a gifted vocalist who delivers on most every cut. Soaring midtempo "Remember That," lamenting power ballad "Still Don't Stop Me" and the title track, which features Dolly Parton, are all prime contenders.
