Every day this week, in honor of Engagement Week on the Sugar Network, I'll be featuring one of my favorite great TV engagements, for better or for worse.
I thought I'd kick things off with a modern classic: when Aidan proposes to Carrie in "Just Say Yes" on the fourth season of HBO's "Sex and the City."
As the episode begins, Carrie is panicking after accidentally discovering a ring in Aidan's bag. Not only is she unsure about getting married, but she also happens to think the ring is hideous. Don't you guys just love John Corbett on this show? I still kinda wish Carrie had ended up with Aidan.

1I loved Aidan too! Such a sweetheart. But in the end, Big was the best choice for Carrie

It also made me sad in the episode where Carrie is meeting Berger for a first date and she runs into Aiden. He's holding a baby and waiting for his wife. All I could think during
that whole scene was "oh @#$%, now they can't get back together!!" 
3Me too! Come on, he's WAY better husband material. BUT as far as Carrie goes, much as I love her, she always wants the drama-filled and never quite sure BIG.
4Awww I did love Aiden, but he tried to change Carrie too much. Big may not have realized she was "the one" soon enough, but he always loved her exactly as she was!
As she ended the series with: "But the most exciting,
5challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous."

6I loved Aidan! When she cheated on him I almost gave up SITC.
7I always felt bad for Miranda in this episode when Carrie is totally bashing the ring that she helped pick out. But the ring that Samantha found was just so much better.
8Awwwww Aidan... such a good guy! My favorite SATC guy (and it seems like everyone else's too!) Though I also liked Steve... not as cute as Aidan but just a decent, regular guy and so good to balance out Miranda. I miss this show!
9Ahhhhh! I am such a sucker for Aidan! Mr Big had a big head... i always thought Aidan was the sweetest!
10Aidan was awesome but so not right for Carrie. That was such a bitter-sweet story line.
