Today EW is reporting that Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas recently met with Kristen Bell to discuss the possibility of bringing Veronica Mars to the big screen. He's a very busy man these days, that Rob Thomas, and he says he'd have to wait until his new shows are off the ground before he could concentrate on a film version of VM, but he reportedly said, "as soon as I have any free time, that's my top priority."
Kristen Bell seems to be on board for it, though she doesn't like to think about VM too much because, she says, "it really does make me sad." At the mention of a possible movie, she smiled and said, "We'll see."
What do you think of this news? Crazy awesome, or just kinda crazy? And if you would like to see it, what kind of plot could you envision for this?

I am desperate to watch anything related to Veronica Mars. I'm sure no matter what it'll be great! Except I can't imagine it as a movie but Rob Thomas is godly.

10I would love to see a movie version of the FBI reboot concept. I think seeing Veronica in a few years, grown up and struggling to fit in at the FBI (while still kicking ass, of course) would be fantastic. Of course, I doubt that Wallace and Logan would still be in her life, and her dad probably wouldn't be around, so we'd miss out on a lot of what made the show great. On the other hand, I didn't love VMars: The College Years, but that could quite possibly be due to the meddling of the CW.

13YES! I absoloutely loved the show! I'm not sure what I'd want the plot to be, maybe something related to the case where keith mars reunited a wife to her con husband and the husband killed the wife BUT keith didn't actually see the wife die, just the shooting. I'm not very clear on the details, but I want that worked in somehow. PLUS more logan and veronica!!

But to be honest, I would really like to see it back on the boob tube again. It's so unfair that it got cancelled, it's such a well loved show. And really, the ending is just begging for a resolution. VMars shouldn't have been cancelled! Hmph!

19no - i don't think that i would be interested in seeing a movie about the show. what SATC started was a totally new thing where tv shows think that they can live in the theater - but i don't think that there's the major following for the show that would draw enough audience to justify a movie being made. i dont know - i wasn't ever into veronica mars, so maybe i just don't get it - but i think that it's one of those shows that should be just a tv show.

28I would love to see this. I didn't like the way the series ended, which felt like it stopped rather than finished nicely. I'd also love love love to see more of Logan and Veronica. They were a dysfunctional but awesome couple.
29In my mind, a VM movie wouldn't be comparable to SATC. SATC finished the TV show with a happy ever after ending that the film then destroyed. VM, by contrast, never had a fluffy ending where it was suggested everything was over and there was no more to tell. They had great characters and a format that could have generated many more stories. Overall I'm just sad that it ended when it did!
YES! YES! YES! I´d give my life for Logan and Veronica to re-unite. This show deserves an ending. PLEASE give it one.
30Having a movie would give us closure on our favorite show that ended so abruptly! Plus, Veronica Mars is so freaking awesome. I can't wait for the movie!
