To honor the 60th anniversary of the Emmys this September, the producers are planning to have stars recite some classic TV lines from the past six decades during the awards broadcast. The lines include "Live long and prosper" and "Good night, John Boy," and Ricky Gervais, Alec Baldwin, and Doris Roberts are among the stars on board.
That got me thinking about what classic lines I'd like to see included. News of the Hawaii Five-O remake makes me think "Book 'em, Danno" deserves a spot, and I'd throw Knight Rider's "Hello, Michael" in there, too. I'd love for some more modern lines to make it into the show, too, like some of my favorite TV catchphrases. In particular, I think I could die happy if Steve Carell walked up to the microphone, said "That's what she said," and then calmly walked offstage.
What are some classic TV quotes that you think deserve a turn in the Emmy spotlight?

"How you doin'?" - Joey from Friends
"WE WERE ON A BREAK!" - Ross from Friends
Can you tell what my favorite show is?
1I know that this is pretty recent, but I love Grey's "seriously". And this may not be very classic, but our generation will never forget "welcome to the OC, b*tch"....another current fav of mine is "let's hug it out b*tch" from Entourage. I'm with you Buzz, on your "that's what she said"....that would be awesome:)
2Totally "how you doin"...good one california girl. Joey's "woah" from Blossom was pretty good too. "Goodbye" from the Weekest Link is a memorable one...there are actually a ton from game shows. The 3 Stooges had the (forgive the spelling) "wowowowowo, wise guy eh".
3Anything Barney Stinson says is Legen- wait for it- dary!
Another office favorite of mine is whenever Dwight says "FACT" followed by random information. FACT: You are talking to Jim. You never talk to Jim.
I wish I had a dollar for every time my friends and i shouted "I KNOW!" like Monica when I was in high school and college.
And, my husband takes every chance he can to sing "Sorry it's not something less serious" at me (from the Family guy song that repeats "You have AIDS.")
4and, "No soup for you!"
5"Holy crap!" The legen-wait for it-dary late actor from "Everybody Loves Raymond."
6That would be Peter Boyle.
7"Oh Boy" from Quantum Leap.
8And I agree: "we were on a break" is an instant reminder of "Friends"
9The other day we were having a discussion at work about shrimp. One girl said "I like to suck on the heads." So of course, another girl shouted out "THATS WHAT SHE SAID!" and we all bust out laughing. That's why it should get picked!
10"Come on down." (Price is Right)
"And that's the way it is." (Walter Cronkite)
11"I'm the master of my domain"---Sienfeld
12Probably a little too long to be a catch phrase, but I always loved the opening to Dragnet.
13"Lucy you got some splaining to do..." -Ricky Ricardo
"Hellooooo lover" -Carrie Bradshaw
"Did I do that" -Steve Urkel
"How rude!" -Stephanie Tanner
I also love the "How you doing?" quote from Friends and of course "That's what she said" from the Office.
14"Fabulous!" -Carrie from Sex and the City

16"I don't wanna be a pirate!" ~Jerry Seinfeld.
Definitely agree with all the Friends ones and "That's what she said." My friends had that joke even before the show, but it has spiraled out of control. Also love "seriously" from Grey's; they are showing a promo with just seriously's right now and it is awesome.
I know it is a cartoon, but my favorite from Pinky and the Brain is "What are we doing tonight, Brian? Same thing we do every night, Pinky. Try to take over the world!"
One more "goodnight and have a pleasant tomorrow" from SNL.
17" fantastic"
" are you my mummy?"
- the doctor
18You guys picked fantastic ones, but forgot...
"Illusion, Dad, it's an illusion!" (if you don't know it's from Arrested Devpt, go grab the DVDs now)

Can I include their "ya-ah's" and "can you be more..." lines? Lol.
GG's "Spotted" and "You know you love me. xoxo.."
20Whatchu talkin' 'bout, Willis?
These are the Tates, and these are the Campbells. And this is.. SOAP!
To the Moon, Alice!
This reminds me of a time back in St. Olaf...
OMG- THey killed Kenny.
21"Suit up!"
22George Wendt should walk out and have the whole crowd yell "NORM!"
23"Works for me."--Fred Dryer's character on "Hunter"
24"I've made a huge mistake" -GOB Bluth
I agree with all the Friends quotes, as well as the Blossom, O.C. and Entourage references.
