One of these days, I'll open the mail, and in it will be the pilot of the new 90210, and then I'll be the happiest girl alive. But since that day hasn't come yet, at least I have a couple of new promos and a boatload of pictures of the new cast to help satisfy my curiosity.
The biggest thing these new ads show: Jennie Garth as Kelly Taylor, all grown up! OK, so we see her for a split second, and half of her one line is delivered off-camera, but still: Kelly Taylor! It's fun to see. Also nice: A few more shots of the sun-drenched, bikini-clad kids living the high life in the fanciest zip code in the country. (No action shots of Dustin Milligan surfing yet, though — but I've got a photo of it in the gallery.) Also, my worries that Shenae Grimes might come off as a bit too whiny are balanced by my sheer delight every time Tristan Wilds smiles — so for now at least, it's all good. I also have to give the ad designers props for dropping the final "-10" from the show's title at the end of the ad, leaving "9.02" — the show's premiere date. Clever, clever.

This is hard for me! For me a lot of loving the original was because of the actors and their dynamic together over the 10yrs . . .I'm gonna give it a try but it will never be the same . . .
1I totally agree cmd0610...I just don't see myself loving this new group. Of course, I will be tuning in just to catch a glimpse of some of the old crew!
2I agree, and I am the biggest 90210 fan EVER... I will give it a try but mainly just to catch a glimpse of Kelly and Donna and Brenda. I still think 90210 was remade (BADLY, if I might add) as the OC.
3Definitely will be giving it a try; hopefully it won't disappoint.
4I have two wishes: 1. That I got the CW, and 2. That all 10 seasons of the original was out on DVD already!
5I'll pass. Plus Annalynn McCord's 80s perm and weird lips freaks me out.
6Maybe I'll check bits of this show, but I doubt it. It isn't on my top priority list. These previews make me actually take a step back for me to start liking the show.
7Blah...
8For some reason, I think it actually looks kinda good. But Shenae Grimes already seems really annoying...I think I am going to like the hot teacher Ryan Eggold plays the best.
9Aha, yesterday I was reading a magazine and along came an ad for this show which I promised myself I'd never watch but that was soon followed by "HAAAAY EDEN GOT A ROLE" (Eden being AnnaLynne McCord from Nip/Tuck) so now I'm going to be stuck watching this as my friend is a HUGE Nip/Tuck fan.
10my all time fav show besides gossip girl.
11I'm with cmd0610...it's going to be hard for me to watch, I don't think they could ever recreate the magic the original series had. But it does help that Kelly Taylor is back
12i'm with all of you that say it'll be hard to watch- i mean really, the original is just so good !!!
i'm torn with this kelly taylor thing- to get me through the show ending, i always held on to the belief in my mind that she ran off with dylan and they lived happily ever after in baja... are they gonna make me single in this? (maybe she'll be married to dylan eventhough he won't be on)
13wishful thinking!
oops! make HER single.. not me
14I think this show is going to be awesome and the O.C. was not at all the same as the origional 90210 completely different shows, different styles of drama.
i think them choosing Shenae to be the new Brenda was perfect, they both have that whining vibe to them its brilliant that they chose such a perfect new Brenda.
I do wish people would care more about the new cast as much as the old cast. I hope it is not the same as the origional because watching the old episodes now are kinda boring compared to the likes of the O.C. and Gossip Girl.
I have huge hopes, but i have an un easy feeling about the show
15I cannot wait for this show!!! I've followed AnnaLynne McCord from Nip/Tuck to this. She is the reason I am watching it and I can't wait to see her.
