- It was basically Trailer Week this week with lots of "first peeks" popping up everywhere. The most exciting was the spot for the new Harry Potter movie, followed closely (for me) by the new preview of Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, starring Michael Cera and Kat Dennings. We also got a look at Oliver Stone's George W. Bush movie, which didn't really answer any of the questions I had about that film.
- Oh — I almost forgot! Disney's new animated princess movie, The Princess and the Frog, has its own trailer now and thank goodness they released that — I was beginning to worry about what I would be watching on Christmas in 2009.
- I am now fully recovered from my adventures at Comic-Con and boy did I come away with a boatload of fun information. I experienced Kevin Smith and Judd Apatow banter, wandered by cows promoting Fringe, chatted with Simon Pegg, etc. You can see everything I posted about right here. Enjoy!
- There was also much to share post-TCA, including tidbits from the cast of the new 90210, an illuminating interview with Eli Stone's Victor Garber, and a chat with Connie Britton.
- I got a few first looks at upcoming TV shows, like the new season of Pushing Daisies, Chuck and a new NBC show starring Christian Slater.
- The news of JLo's new rom-com inspired a slideshow about overly used gimmicks and cliches in that genre. Right after that, there was news of yet another rom-com in development, so I'm praying to the Hollywood gods that we get some great love stories this year!
- These two things having nothing to do with each other, other than the fact that I'm excited about them both: recasting the TV show Wings, and my new August book club selection, The Wishbones by Tom Perrotta.
