Things that make me go "hmm...": I spotted on GeekSugar yesterday this news that several new movies have been picked up as future video games — and they're not your usual action-heavy flicks with guns and bombs or. . . action of any kind (unless you count Cher's steamy online chat, after which "he just logged off"). They're Clueless, Mean Girls and Pretty in Pink.
On the one hand, it's nice that there are going to be video games for girls, and ones that aren't totally violent. On the other hand, seriously, what will these games entail? Competitive shopping? Backstabbing contests? A race against time to alter Iona's old pink prom dress? Brainstorm below.

I can't wait for the clueless one! haha that is one of my favorite movies!
1Im guessing that clueless is going to be like a sims type game where you live successfully in a virtual environment. Mean girls might be the same. Pretty in Pink I have NO idea. Honestly that's just sort of wrong, I love that movie!
2Oh, this sounds like too much fun. I kinda hope they're adventure-style games centered around completing tasks (finding sales, loyalty tests, creative problem solving) but I have a feeling I'd buy them no matter what.
3Clueless would be a great one if it was sims-style. You could give makeovers, earn your drivers permit, flirt with your step-brother (she does that!), renegotiate your grades, manipulate teacher relationships and plan the perfect wedding!
4I have no idea but I'd buy it just to annoy my brothers.
5Sorry, this sounds so lame to me. I'm a girl, I like video games, and I sometimes like the violent ones. A game based on a movie should be based on a movie that has some playable qualities and as much as I love Pretty In Pink it wouldn't make a good game.
6I'm not holding out hope for these.
Competitive shopping sounds pretty good. Maybe girl-fights? And your score can increase according to your "b*tch factor" ... ok, ok, I tried.
7mdwseatac, i love your clueless idea! I love that movie and i love the sims, so for me, it would be a match made in heaven
for mean girls, i think there should be points for certain goals you achieve. Like, first you
get into the group, then you sabotage it and so on. It would be fun
8This sounds so weird to me...i have no idea what you could do. I'm interested to see what the Mean Girls game will be like.
9although i'll probably play these at some point (no matter what they are about!) i am sure these'll be in the bargain bins fast!
10I really wanted Cher's computerized closet when I was in Middle School. "Mismatch"
