- You guys, it was kind of nuts keeping up with this insane week in pop culture. Not that I'm complaining — it was awesome! Anyway, first and foremost The Dark Knight — one of the greatest movies I've seen in a long while — premiered this week, and to prepare us all I crafted a movie night based on the director's past work and tested you on your Batman knowledge.
- Meanwhile, the TCA press tour rolls on, giving us mountains of information about some of my favorite TV shows, including thoughts on Fringe from JJ Abrams, a panel with the Damages cast, clarification (kinda) from Shonda Rhimes on Kathterine Heigl's statements about Grey's writing, and so much more.
- Oh, and then the primetime Emmy nominations were announced and I broke all that down. You can check out my thoughts on the nominees in my snap judgment posts.
- Several highly anticipated trailers appeared this week, including one for a new flick from Ridley Scott starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe, another Twilight trailer, and teaser for the new Terminator movie starring Christian Bale.
- And let's not forget about that wacky musical that's out this weekend, Mamma Mia! I saw it and it cracked me up. Speaking of: What's your favorite ABBA song?
- Woo-hoo! A She & Him video!
- In music-ish news, there was a little bit of chatter about Wicked the movie, I totally got into Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, Kate Hudson joined the cast of Nine, and I'm recasting Empire Records!
- Finally, So You Think You Can Dance was full of crazy developments this week including the fact that Jessica was injured and out of the competition, which let Comfort back in to compete among the top 10, resulting in another dancing favorite being sent home instead.
