Friends, the time is here. That spectacle of a musical, Mamma Mia!, is going to hit theaters in a matter of days. While many will rush to see The Dark Knight, some will be lured to this shining, glorious ABBA extravaganza starring Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Amanda Seyfried and Colin Firth.
In celebration of this, you must now choose your favorite ABBA song of all time. Ready, set, debate!

Paul Smith
Emporio Armani
Del Gatto
Chiquitita is my favorite. It was also my grandmothers favorite. She loved ABBA
1How are ABBA fans feeling about the movie? I can't decide if I want to see it yet- that previews I saw in the theater were a bit overwhelming, maybe that was just a marketing gimmick . . .any opinions out there?
2I really love "Mamma Mia" and "Fernando" but I guess my favourite has always been "The Winner Takes It All". I just love the piano and melody in it...Though when I'm in a happier mood I like to hear "Super Trouper"
But it'll be so great to hear all the amazing Abba songs in
this movie and it looks like it could be a lot of fun!
3I don't like ABBA at all.
4I love ABBA. I saw the musical years ago. It was wonderful. I can't wait to see the movie.
5The lebonese wrap place I used to work at when I was a teenager (oh those care free days) played ABBA on repeat all the time. Everytime I hear ABBA I think wraps.
6I love The Winner takes it all... so melancholic
I've seen the movie already, and it is fun. I think the important thing is that you don't go in expecting the best movie of the year, rather it is a fun romp that makes you feel good. /(If you like ABBA, that is) And don't go expecting superstar quality singing, because while the songs are entertaining, and the audience likely to sing along ... it is probably somewhere in the middle between the auditions at Idol and the finale in standards.
My sister called it the chick-flick of the year - as opposed to Sex and the City where she felt you had to have seen all the seasons before seeing the movie, everybody can watch Mamma Mia.
7ABBA is such a great band. I remember mom listening to them when I was little. I love Dancing Queen. I also like "The Vistors", and the one that reminds me of my kids is "Slipping through my fingers". I have a few favorites from ABBA.
8Chiquitita. I think it reflects my life very well.
I also like Winner takes it all.
I love ABBA!
9I was fortunate to go to a screening of Mamma Mia and I had an incredible time watching it!
Anywho, my favorite ABBA song is Super Trooper. Love love love it!
10I'm not an ABBA fan at all (I took my mom to see Mamma Mia on Broadway and couldn't bear it, even though I am usually a big fan of musicals).
But if I had to pick a favorite song, I'd pick Waterloo, because it was featured on a cool part of a good Simpsons episode.
11Take A Chance On Me or Voulez Vous.
12dancing queen
13I loved The Winner Takes it All, but after Ed Helms' version of Take A Chance on Me for The Office, that has to be my fave now!
14When I was in Italy last year, I went to a really nice restaurant where this lovely Italian woman was singing pop hits in really broken English. She ended up singing "Dancing Queen" and we all laughed along as she sang "Dancing Quinn only even ten". Apparently the Dancing Queen was very tall (at least in Italian English!).
15My hubby made me a "mix tape" back when we first started dating and "Take A Chance on Me" was the first song on it! It has a special place in my heart!
16Take a Chance on Me will now and forever make me think of that Office episode where Andy sernanaded Angela to get her to go out with him. Love it!
17Chiquitita was the best. Wasn't it in Spanish too?
18I love so many of them - my brother found "abba gold" in his desk at school in high school and gave it to me and i totally fell in love with all the songs on it!
my favorites:
19The Eagle
Knowing me, knowing you
voulez vous
waterloo
gimme gimme gimme
money, money, money and so many more...i know what artist/group i'll be listening to all day!
ooh, i forgot to add "the name of the game" and "s.o.s".
20Dancing Queen. Looking forward to seeing the movie this weekend!
21Dancing Queen!!! Can't get enough of that song!
Although, Mamma Mia is great and
always gets stuck in my head after seeing the commercial for the new movie.
22Whatever is playing during 'Muriel's Wedding.'
23I love "The Winner Takes It All."
24I had an Alvin & the Chipmunks record when I was little that had "Take a Chance on Me" on it, and I still love any song that I had on an Alvin & the Chipmunks record, so that would probably be my favorite. I also like "Waterloo," "Money, Money, Money," and "Super Trooper"
25Chiquitita is my #1. Fernando comes in at a close second. I first heard Chiquitita on an episode of Queer As Folk and instantly fell in love with it. Makes me smile just to hear it.
Fernando makes me think of the first season of That '70s Show.
26Super Trooper!
27not an ABBA fan but I liked the song mama mia best when I saw the musical.
28Gimme Gimme Gimme.
I also love: Mama Mia, Voulez Vous, Money Money Money, SOS, Take A Chance on Me... and a few other tunes. My father was a ABBA fan so I use to hear the cd playing often in the house. I love most of their songs. I cannot wait to see Mama Mia!
29Hey, saw the discussion here and just thought I'd let you know that to celebrate the release of Mamma Mia, global polling community Poll the People have launched a poll to find the definitive BEST ABBA SONG!

i was lucky enough 2 see a screening of the movie. it was great fun. i can't wait until it comes out tomorrow. go see it!!
31This is a long shot, but does anyone remember the scene from Malcolm in the Middle when the little brother is dancing with his old lady babysitter to "Fernando" with a flower between his teeth? I hardly ever watched that show, but i cannot hear that song without picturing that scene.
32The Winner Takes It All is one of my favorites. Love ABBA and all there songs. When there songs are played you can't help but sing along!
33Gimme Gimme Gimme is my fave.
34"Does Your Mother Know that You're Out?" might be my fave.
35"Waterloo" is great too...
A few of the songs are okay, but I'm not a huge ABBA fun although I'm really looking forward to the movie.
36Lay All Your Love On Me
37I like Super Trouper!
