Just a couple more days till I head out to the TCA press tour in Los Angeles! I hit the ground on Monday, and I'll give you some more scoop then about what's coming up for the next week or so. But for now, here are a few more tidbits from the cable sessions this week:

- In addition to the new David Simon show set in New Orleans, HBO has ordered two other high-profile pilots. One, called The Washingtonienne, is based on Jessica Cutler's book of the same name about a party girl who takes on Capitol Hill, and it counts Sarah Jessica Parker among its producers. The other, which is as yet untitled, is based on a book about Atlantic City and has Martin Scorsese behind it.
- Curb Your Enthusiasm is probably returning for a seventh season, most likely in late 2009.
- On an interesting HBO note, True Blood's Alan Ball has never seen Buffy or Angel.
- Over on TNT, Raising the Bar, starring a long-haired Mark-Paul Gosselaar, will be the first of three new network series hitting the air this Fall. It premieres on Sept. 1, followed by Trust Me, an advertising show formerly called Truth in Advertising and starring Eric McCormack, and Leverage, which stars Timothy Hutton as a justice-seeker working outside the law.
A couple of other tidbits, so read more.
- Critics got a first look at Star Wars: The Clone Wars from Cartoon Network. At least one was unimpressed but says the kids will probably love it.
- CasaSugar fans, take note: TLC has two more home shows on the way.
- The Planet Green series Leonardo DiCaprio produces, Greensburg, will get six more episodes.
I'll have lots more coming your way next week, so stay tuned!

Have a great time at TCA, Buzz! Looking forward to reading all of next week's posts and to getting the scoop on Fall tv. Enjoy!
1The Washingtonienne sounds good... I'll be keeping an eye out for that one!
2i'm always game for a nwe show and the washingtonian sounds like it could be interesting. once we hear more about the AC show - who knows there. i'm not sure what you can really talk about there - but i guess marty will come up with something.
3The Washingtonienne, by the way, was originally a blog by Jessica Cutler (though no one knew her name at the time) which detailed all her real-life sexual escapades with various politicians and statesmen. Basically, she's a hooker. But it's nice to know she can still make a buck selling her story (again) since she burned all her bridges.
4It irks me that this blog refers to Cutler's story which is based on her life on Capitol Hill as noted by BRiles' comment as being about a "party girl who takes on Capitol Hill." Really? I wouldn't describe it as taking on Washington when she's famous for sleeping around w/married congressmen.
5So excited for this! I live in DC and have more than one friend who's slept her way to the top of The Hill. No guilt by association please
