Big Brother has been a reliable Summer hit for CBS for the past several years, but a recent Winter outing didn't do so well in the ratings.
Now the show is back starting on Sunday, with a new cast — including the oldest participant ever, a 75-year-old great-grandfather named Jerry MacDonald — and a promise that the show is returning to the basics that made it a hit.
We're getting the typical onslaught of meet-the-players videos and even a house tour (see below), but after that dismal Winter, I'm wondering: Do you still care about Big Brother?

Big Brother is the best I'm glad they're going back to the old ways
1Just curious...does anyone know how the nickname "Chen-bot" started for Julie Chen? I've never watched BB, and she doesn't appear robotic on the morning show.
2LOVE Big Brother!!! watched it since season 1!!!!
3I tried it because a friend of mine loves it but i cant take it. A show that comes on 3 times a week and each time nothing much happens. Pass.
4The glorious thing about Big Brother is being able to keep up with the happenings through live feeds, blogs, Showtime After Dark, etc.
Yes... I'll be watching!
5I'm totally addicted to this show despite the fact that I cannot stand other similar reality shows AT ALL. I blame the Evil Dr. Will for it...
Also, Neta I think that because Julie's interaction with the contestants is rather limited it ends up looking very forced and "robotic" in nature. On the morning show she's up close and personal and I think more relaxed.
6Hell yea. Big Brother is my all time favorite reality tv show. I actually did not think the winter edition was too bad.
7yesssssssssssss! i'm so glad they're returning to the original formula. here's hoping it goes back to being as good and as trashy as ever.
8Oh, I can't wait for Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!! The start of my summer has finally came! Summer just wouldn't be the same without BB. I am soooooo excited!
9i really enjoyed it for a while but once all the twists started coming in - it was just getting to be a bit hard to follow. this past winter, i would watch the after hours stuff on showtime, and that was about it cause i just didn't ever remember that it was on, and i still couldn't follow it.
10My summer just wouldn't be the same without Big Brother!
11wow, i had no idea this show was still on the air! Hmm... are they still doing Survivor's?
12Big Brother is my favorite trashy reality show. I didn't watch last winter because I didn't like the "couples" idea, but I loooved last summer's installment (especially the relationship between Evil Dick and Danielle).
13Thanks LVBelleAme! I always wondered about that!
14Yes! I'm just hoping this season will be better than the winter one.
15*yawns* booooring!
16I never liked this show and never will.
17Can't speak for the USA one but the UK one got so shamefully bad...(who wants to listen to someone screaming racial epithets at someone else?) that I stopped watching it cold about 4 years ago and have not looked back. They got to where I think they booked the most confrontational combinations they could, (or sleazy) and went for the lowest-common denominator in terms of tact or class. I have heard this last one was a step back towards some semblance of normality but....I lost interest in it for good, I think, and by then had moved away.
Hopefully the USA one is better for you guys.
18maybe, I'll watch a few episodes and see
19looovvveee ittt
20I love watching the show but I love reading about the daily feeds on Morty's TV (meant to be informational - not a plug). I already know who won this week's POV, who is already hooking up and who is on the block for elimination!
