The trailer for the video game-turned-movie Max Payne looks dark and spooky, though the story doesn't seem particularly new. According to the plot description, Mark Wahlberg's character, Max Payne, is looking to avenge the deaths of his family members. Mila Kunis costars as an assassin who is also looking to avenge a loved one's death (her sister's). Lots of avenging going on.
Ludacris and Chris O'Donnell also star. Additionally, there is a giant bird.

1Hope his acting is better in this than it was in The Happening...
2Ok...I played this game and there were no angels or birdmen. I really hope they are not giving the Max Payne story a fantasy/horror/sci-fi twist. The whole point was that to be a gritty, film noir type crime game with a lot of Hong Kong action movie type moves.

4Was looking around, and on other sites they suggest they might be hallucinations related to the drug in the game Valkyr. If so, that would be much better than random angels thrown in!
