After viewing The Wackness I had lots of nice overall feelings about the movie but one tiny little part of it still makes me go, "Eeesh!" And that would be the part where Mary-Kate Olsen makes out with Ben Kingsley. Yeah, that makeout session (because it's definitely more than a little peck!) gave me the opposite of warm-fuzzies inside.
The romantic pairing up of old and young, sometimes given the lovely term "May-December romance," can be kinda icky to witness. Steve Martin locking lips with Claire Danes in Shopgirl is another one that sends an uncomfortable shiver up my spine.
It's not always the age thing, though. Sometimes there's poor chemistry, or one of the actors looks like he's falling asleep during a supposedly passionate embrace. There are awkward ones, like the tongue kiss between Sarah Michelle Gellar's conniving Kathryn and Selma Blair's painfully naive Cecile in Cruel Intentions. And there's the small screen, too: How awful was that kiss between Joey and Rachel on Friends? I distinctly remember yelling at my TV, "Stop! No! This isn't right!"
Those are just a few of kisses that have made me squirm in my seat, and as Defamer recently pointed out, there's often some squirming on the set as well during these kissing scenes. What are some of the worst screen kisses you can think of?

Temperley London
Christine Bec
Just Cavalli
Cordelia and Wesley on Buffy.
1Nice choice, WhiplashGirlchild! That one was the most purposefully awkward and hilarious (which it totally was!) kiss I've ever seen but definitely a bad kiss.
I gotta go with the Rachel/Joey one too. That one was all kinds of wrong.
Another one on the small screen that I can think of is actually from a soap...General Hospital. When they put the characters of Sonny and Emily together...it was way too "May/December" for me seeing as she was a little kid when he started on the show (and has aged relatively naturally unlike most soap kids) so it's a little too daddy/daughter for me to not get icked when they were together.
2I hate to say it, cause I love him, but any kiss involving Colin Firth, but especially the one at the end of Bridget Jones!
3ER - Susan Lewis and John Carter
4I can't think of any right now but the Rachel/Joey kiss was just wrong! The only Rachel should be with is Ross.
5I can't believe no one's mentioned Tom Cruise. He has got to be the sloppiest, most awkward kisser in the biz.
6One that I really don't like, especially because I really love the movie and the actors, is the one between Hugh Jackman and Ashley Judd at the end of "Someone like you".
7I agree with the Rachel/Joey one. That was the first thing to come to my mind.
8Haha Tink! My mind immediately went to that movie! I'm sorry but Hugh Jackman's nose just got in the way!
9The kiss between Natalie Portmann and Hayden Christiansen in "Star Wars" was sooooo painful and awkward to watch. There was zero chemistry and it looked like two siblings having to kiss each other. Gross!
10I agree....anytime you have an older man and younger girl....that is always awkward to watch. It's funny that someone mentioned Emily/Sonny from GH because I always felt such an ewwww factor for that weird relationship.
11rory and dean on gilmore girls
12rory and anyone on gilmore girls - she was just a terrible at act-kissing, even though I loved that show....
13I thought the kiss between Zac Efron and Nikki Blonsky at the end of Hairspray was soooooo awkward.
14Totally agree about Hayden and Natalie in Star Wars. Then again, Hayden is such a wooden actor that I shouldn't be totally surprised.
15An oldie but a real baddie: Karate Kid. Ralph kissing Elisabeth at the family funland. It looked like he was using his tongue to mop up inside her mouth. Ew.
16Peter O'Tool and that young girl in Venus. SO FREAKING GROSS! I had to turn the movie off.
And, the obvious one, Princess Leia and Luke in Empire Strikes Back. Eeeew. At least that one was just a little peck.
17julia roberts and richard gere at the very end of "pretty woman" on the fire escape.
18I can't think of any right now but the Rachel/Joey kiss was just wrong!it looks kinna fake.at least make it look romantic or somethin.
19Haha, I totally agree with you, Tink Again! I love the movie and the actors, but the Someone Like You Kiss always makes me sort of turn my head and go, 'huh'. I blame Hugh's nose.
And yes, the Rachel/Joey kiss comes to mind. So awkward. I can't think of anything else off the top of my head though.
