- Sad, sad news this week with the death of a comedy legend and a personal hero to many. George Carlin will be missed.
- A couple of hot TVish items hit the Web this week, including the trailer for a new Internet series by Joss Whedon starring Neil Patrick Harris, and "minisodes" of Rescue Me on the Web, courtesy of FX.
- Awards were handed out left and right at the entertaining BET awards show, and to talk show hosts and soap stars at the Daytime Emmys.
- I saw Wall-E and loved it! I also screened Wanted and, you know, not so much.
- If it ain't broke, don't fix it? Sarah Jessica Parker might head back to the big screen as a — what else? — wealthy New York woman. There's also talk of a Devil Wears Prada sequel.
- Well, I finished reading my June book club selection, Then We Came to the End, and really enjoyed it. So, naturally it was time to announce my July pick! Drum roll please. . . and click here to see which book I chose!
